Is this flooding pretty common for Elkin during heavy rains, or is this a rare event?

Couldn't imagine that there will be a game tonight on that field between North Wilkes and Elkin, so will the game be made up early next week?

That area is prone to flooding. But not like this.
While I’m not an Elkin man myself, I knew a lot of 1A people were familiar with Grissom field.

This is the 3rd time in the past 2 years I recall at least part of the area flooding. It flooded a bit in the Spring of '16 but nothing like in August and last week.
