This game is on the offensive line and the entire defense. They are simply getting beat by a better team.

I highly doubt the Broncos would make the playoffs with Tebow. Their defenseis too suspect.

Why? There is no guarantee they would have made the playoffs had they not traded him

And they're playing a tougher schedule as a division winner from last year (if you call that "winning the division").. but they're playing arguably the two best teams in football on a short week. They still have the Raiders twice, the Chiefs twice, and Norv Turner twice

Give Houston a little credit.

They are badass right now and definitely the best team in Texas.

But they did- and this team was supposed to be better this year. You are speculating while I am stating fact.

Then let me state a fact: they have played a much more difficult schedule this year.

Atlanta and Houston are GOOD.

Meanwhile, Tebow plays WR for the Jets.

No you are not. In fact most pundits said the team is worse this year

With the exception of QB. To even speculate whether they would be better with Tebow is ludicrous. He can't even beat out Mark Sanchez.

They've gone from one (if not the) worst QBs in the league in 2011 to one of the best in NFL history in 2012. If they don't make the playoffs, it's not because of the QB play.

Tebow wins the 4th Quarter- Manning is 0-2 in the 4th quarter

And that performance vs Atlanta was very ****** QB play.

1-2 there in the fourth quarter, Coach. Denver outscored Pittsburgh 17-6 in the 4Q.

In fact, Denver has outscored their opponents 45-6 in the fourth quarter. They've got to win the first three quarters.

Coach, you are 17ing nuts on this one. Stop typing now..

The mere fact you compare Tebow's ability to close a game to Manning's 4th quarter ability is 17ing idiotic. It's not even worth bringing up Manning's actual 4th quarter stats from previous years AND this year thus far to totally rescend your stance.

And to follow up on your inital point of "the Broncos better make the playoffs" is horrid. Undoubtably Denver UPGRADED from Tebow and his bag of tricks to Manning--who will argueably go down as a top 5 QB ever once he retires. Regardless of what they're record finishes at, Denver made the right move. This will all be unecessary in the end anyway..Denver will make the playoffs.

i'd rather have a better overall QB than one that looks like complete **** but pulls some ******** out of his *** late in games for half a season. eventually the guy playing like **** for 3-3.5 quarters and pulling it out of his *** over and over is gonna end up on the wrong end of the stick. the nfl is littered with backup QBs and ex-QBs who "just won" despite all their faults for a short period of time and then the odds evened out and they stopped pulling games out of their ***, they lost their job, and bounced from team to team as a 3rd stringer and eventually got cut out of the league (see young, vince).

Not sure why Jets got Tebow now after today.

I believed the Jets statement that they were going to use Tebow as a 2 QB system. So in short yardage situations they would use his strengths. Well to day they have first and 3 and first and 1 and they kept Sanchez in the game. They ended up with 3 points out of those two red zones.

He should have been put in the game on first down and given 3 tries to get the ball into the endzone. They were lucky as **** when they should have won that game going away.

Tebow looks like "****" when he's asked to be a type of QB he's not. A dropback passer. He's an excellent runner and he's stronger than most NFL linebackers. Tebow is every bit as strong as Ray Lewis. He is a good deep passer too imo. If an owner and head coach would just buy in to Tebow and surround him with fast playmakers Tebow would win a lot more than he losses. It's a shame he's not starting somewhere because he does have a shorter "shelf life" than the traditional QB. Tebow is a once in a lifetime show and we are all missing out right now. Hate him or like him either way he is excellent television.

Obvious troll is obvious

no one can argue Peyton vs. Tebow with a straight face.

Denver has a hellacious schedule combined with a rusty QB who is used to timing routes with a new corp.

Good Lord people, Tebow is NOT a good pro QB. Any sane GM would trade 10 Tebow's for 1 Peyton Manning.

I think Coach34 has a point. We heard last year that Tebow couldn't complete a high enough percentage. Manning completed 50.0% yesterday. Tebow was chastised by the analysts when he completed 50%. Manning threw numerous interceptions against the Falcons that continually put the defense in a bad situation. Tebow was content to punt if necessary and make teams drive against the Denver defense. The bottom line is that they won with Tebow and they aren't winning with Manning. It is too early to make a real judgement, but Coach34 is correct at this point.

Did you see the two QB set while running the spread

That ULMonroe came out in against Baylor. Baylor couldn't find their *** with two hands while they were in that. Two qb's in the backfield running the read option and throwing out of it.

That was pretty damn cool, and I think it would be right up Rex Ryan's alley. I'd like to see the Jets run that with Sanchez/Tebow in the backfield. The Wildcat wasn't cool either until the Dolphins rushed for 300 against the pats with it.

Apologize for the attempt to highjack....

By extrapolation, are you suggesting that Denver w/ Manning is not better than Denver w/ Teebow... that's sure what it sounds like...

I did see it and it was cool but it'd be soon ineffective. If both QB's could run and throw it has potential but the defense knows it's a pass with no RB in the backfield and then they know which half of the field the throw is most likely going after the snap.

if given a long term leash based on last year (when the broncos did cater to tebow's strengths), i think tebow would just end up being a vince young type. a guy that won early despite not really playing all that well and despite his obvious flaws, then luck would turn on him and he'd end up losing his job and kicking around the league as a 3rd stringer for a few years before finally being out of football.

When he is asked to be the type of QB he is. A 50% completion percentage is simply not going to get it done in the NFL. And if he keeps running like he does, he is going to get worn down and or knocked out.

He needs to be somewhere like New England or Green Bay where he can be the back-up and developed and still be used as a role player from time to time. Kind of like Steve Young in the 80's.

Well...the Broncos are gonna make the playoffs. Where are all those people that said Denver's offense was being held back by it's "terrible skill players" last year?

I love it when people do something like this with coach. It's like they think it's some sort of achievement.
