Maybe silence from the insiders is the answer? I’m guessing he is getting ready for next year.
If he is really gone, not Gabe Arnold gone, he’s probably shopping other teams for next year while trying to calm their fears about this mysterious injury that ended his season at Iowa and got his booted from the team. What teams with the money to please him also have a big 1 year hole at 197 next year??

Well, the way he left wisconsin and how things ended at Iowa, if he has any eligibility left i cant imagine too many teams would be willing to take a chance on him or spend a ton on him

It’s an exercise in futility, playing the what if game, but they definitely could have created a ton of momentum and made things very interesting. Lee scores 25ish. Eierman scores 20ish and bumps Lee down, losing PSU 4 points in the process.

After that, they just need that momentum to carry over to 1 guy out of Murin, Young, Marinelli or Cass and get them to win 1 more match. Hell, even Warner may have wrestled better in the Finals not having to carry all that pressure.

In the end, they lost. Nothing is going to change that. But, a healthy Lee and Eierman absolutely could have made that year extremely competitive.
Careful. You will only embolden the PSU 2020 for Champs crowd.

Yeah, but that argument doesn’t swing from adding a wrestler like Spencer Lee to that lineup or fixing the knee of a guy that AA’d top 5 4 times. Mind you PSU didn’t even finish 2nd at B1G’s that season…

You think the only scenario is making up magical powers of healing? You just suffer from a lack of imagination.

lol. I wasn’t the guy that said it. You responded to him saying there was no way Iowa would have won in that scenario. I simply provided a dissenting opinion based on that back and forth…

You cannot count both 20 and 21…
Had Covid not canceled 20, where Iowa was the huge favorite then none of those guys get the extra year for 21.

they either would have won in 20 and not in 21, or not in 20 but in 21.
Absolutely not true. Seniors didn't get an extra year. We lost Lugo, and everyone else was back the next year anyway. You would think a PSU puke would know that because Cenzo and Hall lost their last chance as well.
No one was touching Iowa in 2020 even if they had multiple disasters at NCAAs. We had the same team for 2021 regardless of what happened in 2020. We did have plenty of adversity in '21, and still won. Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot.

That guy must have worked compliance for Little Rock.

Supposedly Mo is now in the portal and his chapter at Iowa is closed. There is no truth to the rumor about Ferrari being shut down is there? Would he even qualify for a medical for this year?

NCAA's gyrations are really about the big football money aren't they?. When the TV and streaming revenue for media giants gets that big, then all the opportunists in other college sports crawl out of the woodwork. Isn't that human nature? Now streaming allows media companies to make money from more niche sports. It's the "long tail" of college sports. Like other so-called "non-revenue" sports, wrestling money is relatively small potatoes.

Mo gone, Ferrari rumored to be one legged, Bk with an apparent bad hip so he can’t shoot, Peterson been mia, baileys got one hand.
it’s not even February so the walking wounded are in prime position for march
Don’t really get the BK can’t shoot because of an injury, yet he took two pretty good shots in the last 15 seconds of his last match.

What’d I say that wasn’t true. Mo is gone, the rest are either not wrestling or seem to be wrapped like a mummy when wrestling.

I think Lehighs coaching staff should be fired.
How dare they send Crookman to an open and he gets hurt out for the season. Darn no good coaches letting a wrestler wrestle when there was a possibility of injury.

Nobody times their cycles like your team and that will continue until the NCAA starts testing
Really? My take is the program is heads and tails over everyone in every way. Including nutrition , training , restoration and recovery , and psychology .

And if you don't think Dan's lads were juicing back in the day prior to ncaa testing you're nuts.

You realize that Penn State/NLWC has a large number of athletes in the USADA testing pool, right? At a minimum, senior national team members get randomly tested, at a minimum 4 times per year. That's how they caught that super dirty cheat Aaron Brooks for... (checks notes) DHEA, remember?

That applies to:

Lilledahl
RBY
Blaze
Duke
Mesenbrink
Haines
Barr
Snyder

Additionally, Ono gets tested by the Japanese federation. If Zain and Nick Lee are still listed as active athletes, they get tested, too.

In Barr's "Off the Mat" interval, when speaking about moving up from 184 to 197, he said they don't do nutrition, per se. He said it was all about eating and lifting. He said that the ice cream was great and Kasak cow really helped.
Well that sort of said in gest. They don't leave any stone unturned at that school in regards to training .

It's a way different university in regards to what's available to your average student, club athlete which I was, or varsity athlete these days.

What you said is true though, the simple way to gain weight is to lift heavy and properly and take more quality calories. And honestly in all natural ice cream is a great way to bulk up a little bit. You're going to need some carbohydrates to add on some mass.

But the options available are amazing now. I remember about 30 years ago attending a hockey party. Back then they were a club sport and the guys were happy that the club and coaches will get them creatine back then. I look back at that now and I laugh.

I laugh in $100 million plus arena, lol! For an average trainer or some gym rat on his own it would just cost too much to do what they have available. Red light therapy, massage therapist, chiropractors, nutrition availability, training equipment etc. etc. have all events so much from 40 years ago when I left in 30 years ago when the hockey players were happy they got some free creatine .

I need to get me some of that Kasak Cow
In Pennsylvania here we have plenty of local farms that do sell the meat and it's amazing. I put it right up there with the prime stuff you get from snake River Farms. I'm sure if you live in Iowa you could find some small farmer who sells to the local locals and it's some really good stuff.
