why this is supposed to be some sort of trash talk aimed at UM. It's the name of our fight song and it's the hashtag that the athletic department uses. It has NOTHING to do with the Bears. The bears seem to think EVERYTHING we do is aimed at them, I see some of you agree with them.

This week. Anything having to do with this week/game includes them. But let's not fight amongst ourselves. Let's kick some bear ***

I've seen a lot of #HailState tags in Facebook statuses the past few months mainly from students and recent alumni like myself. I don't really use Twitter much but I've seen it there too.

As someone who has been out there on Scott Field on Saturday mornings painting dots on the field for the band, I think it's cool.

Great points. At the most we get poked fun of but in the end it generates some national attention that a school like us desperately needs, no matter how we grab the headlines. I'm all for this. Whatever makes us stand out.

have drastically improved our gameday atmosphere --- the Junction, new HD scoreboard, ribbons, banners, etc... If anyone was present pre-Byrne/Stricklin at our games, you would know we have progressed into one of the best atmospheres in football. (when stadium is packed obviously) Yes, we need expansion, but the creativity of the endzone change only proves that we are always thinking "out of the box." <div>
</div><div>To me, this change only gets our students more involved as some have mentioned --- #hailstate is already blowing up on twitter. </div><div>
</div><div>I find it hilarious that some on here really are offended and think this is stupid when our student fan base is as passionate as it has ever been. Yes, we may be financial supporters of the university, but must remember it's a college not a pro team. So, let's do all we can to get our students more fired up and get recruits reading more on twitter. It doesn't hurt -- only helps.</div><div>
</div><div>Lovin' the #hailstate</div>

They painted it maroon to hide the Mississippi State underneath.
