I know Cord will be here too but I'm just like most and preparing for him going to baseball. But of the other 2 qbs that will be here this weekend who do we stand the better shot of getting O'korn or Dobbs? Watching some highlights of each I would prefer us get O'korn. Dobbs has alot of traits that get Tyler in trouble although his footwork seems more polished and he looks to have a bigger arm. But O'korn fits Mullen's PROVEN (for the cookies & Tyler elitests out there) scheme better. Looks alot like Driskel did. Huge arm, big, doesn't mind contact, not fast but deceptive with feet. Just curious.

FWIW I think if we get either it will be O'korn...

who is more likely to flip from Houston to play at MSU in the SEC than Dobbs is likely to flip from his Arizona State commitment. The other reason I say that is I believe Dobbs has had a committable offer on the table for quite a while now and hasn't taken it while O'korn has been on the wait list. Just feel like if Dobbs was going to flip he would have already done it. At this point we desperately need one or the other so I'm ready to formally offer O'korn and see if we can't get another worthy QB on board.

Not trying to be a dummy but 2 things I need to ask you 1.) What does FWIW mean? 2.) What does NM mean while I'm asking? Lol. I'm sorry but I gotta know.

I'm fine with either one as long as we secure a commitment before NSD...

Worth noting that their measureables are pretty dang similar. O'Korn is just used in a more traditional Mullen-type spread offense -- while Dobbs plays in a pass-first spread...

Happy to help.

Isn't there another QB from Fla that we might have an interest in? Think his last name is Woulard or something like that.

Yes. He's blowing up a bit now though -- with a resurgent interest from Florida and Clemson. He's also been the 3rd most recruited of the 3...

57....It looks like Mullen and Co. would prefer Dobbs and feel like if O'Korn was offered right now he would flip to us. I am like you and engie...O'korn looks like a better fit to me on video. I think Mullen will try to get an answer by this weekend, but if Dobbs doesn't commit, I think we offer O'Korn and the first to commit gets the spot.

For star ratings, Dobbs is the better option...but for MSU, I like O'Korn. That being said, both are solid and I think Dobbs ends up flipping to us before O'korn gets the offer. But that's just a hunch.

O'korn not only fits our (again I say) PROVEN scheme but the H.S he plays at normally produces quality QBs. Would've loved to see what Dan could've done with Wes Carroll (another qb prospect from that H.S).

What happened to Golden? Thought he might stick around and compete in the spring/fall.

Grade casualty. Headed to JUCO and would like to make it back to MSU in under a year(think Brassell on this).

On my personal speculation(based on nothing really so TIFWIW), I'm betting that as a walk-on, he didn't get the academic help or have the constant academic oversight that the scholarship players do -- which is quite unfortunate if true.
