And despite it being 9 years, them having the documents they’re talking about right now for those previous 4 years, and now for 6 months, do you find the timing at all suspect? I think this is a subject that democrats are latching onto because it’s the first thing that has gotten traction to slow Trump down.
I think republicans don’t want to give democrats an inch and want to control the narrative. Being that they lied and cheated with the collusion BS during Trumps first term I don’t really blame them.
I do think there needs to be transparency on the Epstein issue. All “clients” need to be exposed no matter who they are. We deserve to know if this was an intel operation and if so who was running it.
I think public pressure will continue until something happens. It’s not going away, it just won’t be allowed to be used as a tool by the democrats to slow down the MAGA agenda.
I think the Trump admin going after Obama is a big message that there will be no more of that.
It’s a fair criticism from democrats on the way it is being currently handled, but it doesn’t carry much weight when they did exactly nothing about it when they were in power. If they wanted control of the investigation, they had the power to do that. Now it will be done according to how republicans want it to be done.
If democrats want to be mad, be mad at electing an inept leader who did nothing about it.

Though I think if the administration had done what they said they were going to do (not just said they were going to, but screamed about for years), then the subject wouldn't have any footing. So I think Dems are latching on due to that hypocrisy. As its so stark, if that makes sense. There isn't a lot of wiggle room on the position, so to speak. (I don't think hypocrisy is partisan, for the record)
Also don't think doing what you've been saying you were going to do for years is giving democrats anything. That feels like a rebrand to me. They could have controlled the narrative. In fact, they did fully control the narrative until they started saying there wasn't a story to narrate at all.
As far as what Dem's could've done, I don't disagree. While I think there are likely reasons it wasn't released previously and isn't be released now, not all of them are nefarious (like court docs do get sealed, or things aren't released during ongoing investigations). Then again, it could 100% be that powerful people are in them. My biggest issue right now is that they aren't saying those things. They are calling people evil for being interested in them, and 100% making repeated moves that scream coverup.
But it doesn't yell "republicans involved" either. The majority of the repub base believes that there is more to this story and want's more info. No question. I think most think that the admin has mishandled this issue. edit: I do.
The repub base will be ok with wating a bit more as long as more info comes out. Right now there are some trade deals getting signed and announced, and we have the Obama-Russia hoax info that is now out in the news cycle. No need to crowd that out.

She must have something worth referring to Justice Dept, and supposedly she has whistleblowers prepared to come forward. (Not they are always factually correct) Wait and see with a questioning eye might be the right move, for now. If Gabbard has cried wolf, her political career is over and she' d better learn to cook burgers and fries.
If Trump needed a swerve, He got one yesterday with the three trade deals. This whole Gabbard thing seemed to come out of the blue and with the Aug 1 trade deadline coming up he'd been better off holding the swerve until then. Unless, of course, he has something else lined up

I've got news for you, she told the entire country she had the file waiting on her desk. What none of us know is what was in the files...was it 10 pages, 50? What did it contain, flight logs, names of guests, names of young women, itineraries, who knows.
Let's not forget, those files were created during the Biden years. You might think that someone in the DoJ during that period knew what was in there. And Bondi fired most, if not all, of the Biden supporters, why hasn't one of them come forward>|?

By the way, IMO, it would be suspect if Trump's name is not on the flight/visitor logs. By now everybody knows he was friends with Epstein until their falling out. But so far nobody has come forward saying they had sex with him and boy that evidence would mean a multi-million dollar payout (or a deep sleep with the fishes).
