Hahahaha!! The Democrats weren’t the party obsessed with Epstein conspiracy theories and positioning that only the other party had people in the documents.
But the direct response is that it’s a law enforcement and judicial branch consideration. There’s tens of thousands of pages of documents - they know that if all were released that innocent parties would have their reputations ruined because the dumbass political base that is MAGA believes name in file = guilt; said differently, MAGA doesn’t understand that the FBI collected volumes of information and many of it does not establish culpability for any party.
Trump, as leader of MAGA, knows that some in his base may turn on him since they are incapable of making that distinction. I have no idea what Trump did or didn’t do related to Epstein. The issue at hand is that he is using his power to direct substantial law enforcement resources to protect him (and I’d bet some other close friends) from this disclosure.
