If you just used it for sports and don’t watch that much TV in general, you can do Sling day pass 4-5 times for less than the $29.99. If you start it in the afternoon on Saturday, you get the next day’s early NFL slate as well. Can also do 3 full weekend passes for the same price, and as a bonus you get all the other channels, too.

Those are great options for people who don’t watch too much TV, or who don’t always watch the games at their own house.
doesn't look like sling has SEC network

I'm looking at DIRECTV, which is a lot like the interface I had on the other side of Austin.
I’m doing their free trial this weekend. So far I like the interface a lot. No split screen though, but that isn’t a deal breaker. I’ve got three screens plus an iPad and a PC in the man cave.

Add the sports extra add on
Just signed up for Sling Orange with sports extra for 24 hours.....all ESPN channels including SEC Network. Total is $6.41. I can handle that. And if YouTubeTV gives the $20 credit I'm coming out ahead is the way I see it.

Don't believe ABC is carried in that package. I was interested primarily in the ESPN channels. But ABC would make it better.
Thanks, that is where three SEC games are being carried, ...but, They are named, ESPN on ABC,
just checking to see if that was part of the deal.

These providers are causing unnecessary pain with the obsession with bundling. I like the YTTV user experience enough that if they wanted to move ESPN to an add-on, I'd pay for it.

Does anyone know of some free trials we can use just for the weekend? YouTube really screwed me over. I can’t cancel them because I got Sunday for super cheap so I’m stuck with them till January.
I too have Sunday Ticket and don’t want to eat that by cancelling. Has anyone tried to argue with them since they lost ESPN about getting out of the Sunday Ticket?

You may come out ahead for a little while. But, the $20 credit from YTTV won’t even start until they formally stop negotiations, and it likely won’t last more than a few months before they start unwinding it.

And you’re in for a rude awakening on trying to combine the Disney / Hulu / ESPN+ bundle with ESPN Unlimited. You can only have one Disney account per ESPN package, meaning that you’ll have to create a separate email and log-in for ESPN Unlimited than what you use for the other 3 services. I ranted about this months ago when they first rolled out ESPN Unlimited. Total PITA. Good luck with that and with switching back and forth with your TV remote.
Oh, no doubt about switching back and forth between apps being a pain in the a$$. That is one of my most hated changes that streaming has brought about.

I don't know about the issue with upgrading to Unlimited though. I literally just switched the plan on my existing account from the $19.99 Disney/HULU/ESPN+ package to $29.99 for Disney/HULU/ESPN Unlimited, and it was seamless. I'm watching Gameday as I type this

I went to the store to buy peanut butter and was told it was bundled with celery, licorice root, vegan hotdogs and broccoli rice a Roni. I'm glad I already had bread and jelly otherwise I would have to buy a whole bunch of other shite I didn't want.

Just upgraded via the Disney bundle and did not have this experience.

Well, I can't get SlingTV to let me start an account. Tells me an account already exists on 3 different emails, including on an email address I rarely ever use.

If you haven’t, try to go straight to the link for a weekend or day pass by googling that. It let me enter an existing account in there bc I was having trouble too

ETA: sorry basedawg I replied to wrong post

This is an app that I use in a pinch. I can only get SD to work but like I said he does the job when I need it and it's free. Just watch it on your phone, iPad or computer. You can also buy a HDMI adapter for apple products and connect to your TV. If your Smart TV has a browser feature that works too....lastly tech savvies can cast it to their TV.

All of this will resolve itself once we have more consolidations. The merger of Hulu and fubu under Disney is a good start. Disney needs to add sling and the airwaves local channels use.

Why so many people complaining about not having ESPN when Madea's Halloween special is on Bravo. Tyler Perry is a national treasure.

Good to know….I think you might have a different bundle though.

My bundle is through Verizon. It’s $21.99 I think, but the biggest thing there is its a premium subscription to Disney+, with no ads. I have 2 young girls and there is A LOT of Disney + watched in our house. More than anything else by far. And I’m absolutely not going to an ad version if it and having the toy commercials and meltdowns and all that jazz. I’m just not 17ing doing it.

When I looked into the $29.99 bundle of Disney/Hulu/Unlimited, it was the ad version of Disney+. So I passed on it. When I simply tried to add ESPN Unlimited to my existing bundle through Verizon, it wouldn’t let me do it without creating a whole new Disney log in under a different email account. So I passed on that, too.

My wife and I discussed it last night. If they don't put ABC back on in a couple of weeks, we will switch to DIRECTV. She loves High Potential, and so do I. That girl has got some amazing legs.

Just canceled youtubetv and not going back, guess I’m trying the espn bs bundle thing
Same, and I hate it too because I loved YTTV. I need to do some additional research, but it looks like I can up my Spectrum package to get everything we want with Disney+, the top tier ESPN, Paramount+, and Peacock. I'll be able to cancel all those stand-alones and actually save some money.

Seems very dumb. I actually really liked yttv but now I’m pissed and will not go back. It’s like the shutdown, we talked about it and realized we don’t even really use it except to access espn.

Does that include SEC NW?
I've been and to watch games before on ESPN plus. I guess that I thought it was tired into the Disney account but instead it was yttv. I'll have to go back and look at the account details because I was too worried about watching/ listening to the game at the time.
Also it was on youtube. It got cut off in the fourth quarter but I just found it on another account.
