Yup, politics on a UK basketball message board in a thread about an ESPN reporter who covers the NFL. Ironically, all this from guys who were cheering ESPN reporters losing their jobs a few weeks ago.
I believe it to be totally unfair and downright UNAMERICAN :americanflag: that every single channel, newspaper, youtube personality and twitter follow doesn't think the same way I do.
Any thread with a MST3K clip gets my vote.

That's fair but My post was directed at the reality behind their survival relative to ratings. It's not possible to discuss it without speaking toward their political position that provides safety and explains how msm news outlets (such as espn) escape to live another day with such poor approval and viewership.
Love MST3K. I try to watch an episode every couple of weeks. I've seen them all multiple times, but they never get old.
Cord cutter here too, and I'm watching more ESPN networks and sports than ever before. I like to think of it as my double middle finger to Charter.
I am obviously biased in this case, but I really liked Jay Crawford. went to high school with his younger brother and sister and the whole family are just outstanding people. Jay's reporting always struck home with me because he spoke to my Ohio roots as an Indians fan. Hated to see him go, but when you see who was cut and who was kept it is pretty clear the direction they are headed.
Because some people don't understand there's more ways than one to view the world, therefore they inject their political opinions into every thing.
These people are called wing nuts. They're not much fun to be around. They can be found marching/looting in cities or boycotting something or standing in front of the local Target yelling Bible verses about transgender pissing. These people should be considered mentally unstable and should be immediately sterilized.
It's ok to lean left.....it's ok to lean right....but it would be great if those on the far left AND the far right could find another planet to live on.

Everyone leans one way or the other, but in the history of political arguing, how many minds have been changed? (Very few)
Which is why when the _________-wingers start telling me their way is the only one, I usually scoff and walk away.

I saw them in Louisville at last year's Louder than Life, but it's only half of the orginal band with Jeff Hanneman being dead and Dave Lombardo being gone. (Holt and Bostaph are top notch replacements, but not originals).
Lombardo is my favorite drummer of all time, and I kick myself daily for missing seeing Slayer when he was behind the kit.
They came to Louisville a few years ago along with Anthrax and Megadeth. I bet there wasn't 500 people in Broadbent Arena. Couldn't believe it. Agree about Lombardo. I'm not even a big metal head anymore, but he's an amazing drummer. Of the best ever - in any genre.
Take over what? Sports talk shows? I can probably count on my fingers the number of sporting events that I watched on FS1 in the last year. Like it or not, ESPN is still far and away the king of the hill in televising sporting events that matter.
Yup. Skip Bayless and Colin cowherd aren't gona take anything from espn. Fs1 is the same as espn.

FS1 is subtly branding itself as a "conservative" sports alternative that doesn't bow to twittter trolls and SJWs. But their on-air "talent" includes the likes of Cowturd, Skip Clueless and Jason Whitlock aka ESPN castoffs that are universally hated. They need more game options than BigEast basketball, Pac 12 football/basketball, some MLB and UFC. I tried to watch their nightly highlights show when the network first premiered and found it to be twice as bad as the declining SC. It was just minor-league SportsCenter that managed to be less funny and entertaining, which is damn hard to do.
Personally, I hate political talk (drooling morons in a red or blue echo chamber spouting the day's DNC or RNC talking points to the hordes of gullible minions) and sports talk (clueless "experts" who oftentimes didn't play sports spouting hot take after hot take just to draw a reaction from anyone who bothers to listen to them). I preferred the days of when ESPN filled time with odd sports, pro wrestling, "classic" highlight videos, etc., over the 6 straight hours of talking about the same ole ish.
I found this chart from BusinessInsider to be interesting. Basically the NFL, MLB and college basketball skew slightly right of center, while the NBA skews further left of center than any other major sports. Conservatives like stuff with bulls and motors ... and women's golf, liberals like weird sports, European sports but also ... UFC and monster trucks. Lol
