If this does happen, it's kinda like getting kissed by a pretty girl after she sucker punches you in the gut. I hate the fact that we might be rewarded after what we saw this yr, but my goodness do we need the extra practices......

Hey we don't deserve it but I would actually go, only a 3 hour drive...plus we could use the extra time.

How would they get the 15 extra practices in over 16 days. Looks like some two or three a day sessions.

No
Please Lord no. 15 extra practice days will not fix our problems. They may make it worse. Stoops needs to shut this season down and take a course on how to be a head coach

Why is everyone mad about it? Quit looking at it so negatively. I don't understand this board about 80% of the time. It's like I took a wrong turn and ended up at a rival's message board. No wonder many people say we have such low football IQs.

"Deserve" a bowl? lol People on here are afraid their off season full of negativity may get upset. Too bad. 1 vote here for a damn bowl game if we get the shot.

I'm as disappointed as everyone about how this season unfolded, but in no way would/should we turn down an extra 15 practices even if we don't deserve a bowl game. If nothing else it gives the guys red-shirting more run and the young guys/back-ups more game-time. Though it wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if Dorian Baker didn't see a single minute of game-time if we did somehow get an invite....

Too many d@mn bowl games. Used to be back in the day, you had to have a pretty good season to get invited to a bowl game. Now we're rewarding mediocrity because so many sponsors will pony up the funding for this bowl game or that bowl game. What's next? Getting the two worst 0-12 teams to a bowl game so one of them can have a chance to get a freakin win?!?!

Hey regarding the current RS Freshman...can they play in a game like this and it not affect the RS classification?

Everyone and 80% of the time.. Pitino is that you? Hyperbole much? Two posts out of 13 is not everyone or even in the same area code as 80%.
Many may wonder about your math IQ.

No, but it's still 15 more practices where they could get some run and further prepare for next year. It can only help.

Thanks, for some reason I thought because it was after the first semester was completed they could.

These bowl games are meaningless whether your record is 6-6, 5-7 or 7-5. Might as well get in the practice. Plus it's another game to watch as far as I'm concerned. Let's do it.

Accept the bowl. Good for practice and the team but you don't celebrate it as a fan or that we're moving forward as a program right now. You just don't.

Absolutely! We need the extra practices badly and maybe.......just maybe, we could actually get the bad taste of UL game out of our mouths.

Judging from results this year, I'd say that more practice has actually been detrimental to the team. The further into the season we progressed, the worse we looked. If we have 15 more practices, I'd be willing to be we may not be able to handle a shotgun snap, remember a play, recognize who is on the other team, etc.

Can't believe a team with a 5-7 record who has looked as bad as UK has the past 6+ weeks is even being considered for 'postseason' play. If this isn't an indictment of at least 10 too many bowl games, I don't know what is. Boy, the regular season really means almost nothing nowadays.

I've always wanted to spend Christmas in Shreveport LA . . . .

I'll admit if the Cats are playing, I'll be watching, but no way will I drive hundreds of miles and spend hundreds of dollars to watch this in person.

I don't think teams are able to turn down bowls anymore with conferences and money and all that.

This is crazy talk, us being in a bowl. I don't know what to think, other than that there are waaaay too many bowl games.

I thought no bowl would want us on 12-26 due to the UL-UK basketball game being on the same day.
Would hurt ticket sales.

NC St. lost to UL who I'm convinced we should have beat after watching some film. Giving these team extra practice time would be huge, but getting a win vs NC St. in a bowl would be ginormous. Anything to create some positive momemtum, because right now we're about halfway capsized.
