Cooked him, once again.
Nah, you're just a sucker for irrelevant talking points composed of pretty words. There was nothing to cook me for, he's just insecure. How does it feel to be cooked yourself?

If something that was previously sold for $100 is likely to now cost $115, is there a significant difference? Other than semantics?

Think in terms of production moving to US where there is zero tariffs and lower costs for the supply line

think we ship Europe s part for no tariff

We buy less of a part from Europe at a 15% increase

Since company losing business they open US manufacturing

win win win dam we are winning

Thank Trump the Hitler to the name calling dudes on here

That is certainly the optimistic goal no doubt. And why I support tariffs in limited circumstances for national security interests.

He’s been embarrassing you all since he showed up. Ugly embarrassed. You guys are so defeated, you blamed AI. Hilarious
It doesn't even matter if he's wrong, which he is a lot, you just see that wall of pretty words and think he owned us, because you're a chump. Defeat that

You also probably shouldn't keep weighing in on this unless you can competently debate us yourself - only woosies sling **** from the sidelines.

Please show proof that DJT has denied knowing Epstein. Keep on with the narratives though. You aren't going to like the outcome.
OK. Here's a video of Trump being asked about Jeffrey Epstein, and replying "I have nothing to do with the guy." https://www.facebook.com/reel/784826747329567

Or, there's Trump's entertaining comments when he was asked about his 2002 comments in which he called Epstein "terrific" in a New York Magazine story.

In response, Trump repeatedly said he wasn't a "fan" of Epstein.

"Well, I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. "I mean, people in Palm Beach knew him. He was a fixture in Palm Beach. I had a falling out with him a long time ago. I don't think I've spoken to him for 15 years. I wasn't a fan. I was not, yeah, a long time ago, I'd say maybe 15 years. I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you. I was not a fan of his."

So Trump says he knew Epstein "like everyone else knew him" (i.e., he knew OF Epstein, but did not know him well). That's precious.

I think whoever was questioning whether Trump knew Epstein hasn't been paying attention

what's been happening is seemingly sellers eating part of the cost, and importers paying part. So far there hasn't been a significant increase other than in auto parts.
As Reagan said, tariffs usually have a favorable start and look good at the beginning, but it is only a matter of time before they blow up in your face.

I'm not taking a position one way or another.... what you said makes logical sense, and I would think the same thing. But so far the data is not showing that. In one recent month (can't remember if it was may, June, July) the opposite happened - prices on domestic goods increased more than on imported ones.

IMO, it's too soon to see what will actually happen with these tariffs. It appears as if Trump is getting some good deals in selling US goods abroad, and getting investments in the US. But, he's still keeping tariffs. So, from my perspective, those who say prices will increase may be just as wrong as those who say they won't.

Economists have been a little befuddled as well. Most thought same as you - prices will go up. They're reconsidering now and still trying to figure out what they haven't.. Interersting times.
Tariffs raise immediate revenue because the goods sit in port until somebody --anybody--pays the tax. That is one attraction of tariffs. However, costs will eventually be passed down. Simple rule of economics. Tariffs will not be a long term solution to our problems. The aforesaid is still the great majority viewpoint of economists.. Tariffs are not, and have never really been , considered good, practicing economics in a world of free trade.

Congrats to Trump on a great deal for the US.

This is playing out just as Mirans white paper suggested for those that chose to read it.

a large portion of the tariffs are being absorbed by the sellers and supply chains are being adjusted to have more manufacturing in the United States.

Trump is threading the needle with his tariff policy, it’s really impressive, future presidents will take note. Inflation is much lower than under democrat rule.

It is so nice to see a president care about America.

America is the best place to do business in the world and Trump knows it.
