Sat and thought about it long and hard my ***. He just made up his mind that he didn't want to see a rematch and was going to vote LSU #1 no matter what. It's almost a joke that anyone voted for Oklahoma St. either, but at least that can be left as a difference of opinion (makes me wonder about their judgment though).

But overall, the rankingsare pretty good. Not much to argue with except that I think Auburn is better than any of the bottom 5 teams in the rankings.

#1 - Bama
#2 - LSU
#5 - Arkansas
#9 - South Carolina
#19 - Georgia
Auburn unranked but #2 in others receiving votes.

Why don't you just kick the crap out of "those morons" every year instead of these lower tier CUSA teams MSU beats (sometimes). Oh well I guess then the talking would have to be done on the field and that doesn't always come out the way we see it. The facts are SEC chants and talk of all these bigger-faster players does not win games. Ring your bells but don't make fools of yourselves belittling "those morons" till you got something other than SEC chants to prove your "champions" of anything. I do love you guys though and glad you own TSUN the last three years. You are the champions of them and that is a good thing! So I guess you are champions of something afterall.

You say "<span class="post-title">Even the AP poll is a joke" as if you thought the AP poll was not a joke before now. The AP poll has always been and always will be a joke. The only reason it is even considered is because we don't have a choice. Since the AP controls what media is delivered, they can force their poll upon us. The AP doesn't deserve a poll anymore than the fans do.</span>

Out of 60 voters, it isn't unbelievable that one voted for LSU and this is the way things go in any type of poll like this. It didn't change the results of national champion or even the order of picks--this is why you let a high number pick. You receive many opinions and the correct outcome, in the opinion of most, is reached. <div>
</div><div>It is the emphasis placed on the poll that is ridiculous, as indicated by your complaints over onevote. </div>

lsu is 1-1 against bama and beat the pac 12/rose bowl winner (oregon), big east/orange bowl winner (wvu), top 5 arkansas, and top 20 uga. they won the sec west and the sec title. if you look at the total body of work and consider lsu's W was on the road, whereas bama's was a neutral field, there is nothing wrong with deciding that for the season you think lsu had the better resume and not deciding your champ entirely based on the game played at the end of the season instead of the game played 2 months ago.

obviously they were dominated saturday, but i have absolutely no problem with a voter taking a bit of a stand and making the point that the regular season matters. every single playoff discussion, the regular season matters is one of the key arguments by the anti-playoff crowd. some bama fans are the biggest anti-playoff, pro regular season proponents out there. they better never use that argument with me again. put your money where it's mouth is.

Take a step back and look at the entire season and LSU clearly had the better year. Bama did win the BCS championship no doubt, but poll voters aren't required to vote by that. Now the only argument against LSU was the margin in the game. Had it gone into overtime and a reverse of the first game happened I think there would have been a split.

the odds SEC domination will continue actually INCREASE...<div>
</div><div>the SECC actually asked for a "plus 1" several years ago, and the Big 12 voted against it... now they're bitching about it.</div><div>
</div><div>as a Bama fan and SEC fan, I would love a playoff... Heck, Bama would have had a shot to win the title 3 years in a row (09-11) if there was a playoff....</div><div>

and I'd lay good odds it will never happen again because voters will make sure it won't after everyone else got so butthurt about it. With a playoff, even a plus-one, you'll probably see an all-SEC final occasionally. Not to mention no chance of anything like the Auburn snub several years ago ever happening again. If we'd had a playoff that year, it's hard to see Auburn not making the final.

Edit: Meant to reply to Tusk.
