Croom lost Patterson after the 3-2 debacle. Before Mullen came in even Tyler Russell had started to look elsewhere (mainly South Carolina). Mullen kept Russell on board and delivered Bumphis and Perkins, who we had ZERO shot at with Croom.
While Ole Miss will end up with a slightly better class, it is astounding what Mullen has been able to do so far. Currently we are dead even with UM in the recruiting rankings, while they are coming off of 2 straight Cotton Bowls and we are coming off of our 9th losing season this decade. Take a step back and try to think about what this class would look like if Crooms was still around.

To be fair, you have 6 more commits so you should actually be higher rather than dead even. State is probably about to lose Neal which will mean you only have 5 more recruits, but he was rather highly rated so that will hurt your rankings.

Recrootin rankins are only fun to look at though. We'll see which class was better in 2-3 years.
