I think a clearer way to state this is. 'How many coaches have left voluntarily without outside influence.' That covers situations where a coach chooses to 'resign' or 'retire' but is nudged into doing so like jackie, or as in Leach's case, passes away.Jackie retired. But probably would have been fired.
