Ditto. If we win 6 this year we should extend Lebby’s contract, burn down anyones house that doesn’t vote him SEC COY, and scream our *** off in the Birmingham Bowl. Please provide what you see as a reasonable path to 6-6. I'm happy to consider it with an open mind.
3 OOC patsies
Arizona State
Texas
Georgia
Let's do it
You have to admit. That would be upsets MSU style. Beat Texas and Georgia but lose to Missouri and Ole Miss.3 OOC patsies

A boy could dream though. You aren’t going down on me Pat

That's how I see it also. 2 wins meets expectations. 3 is a step forward. 4 would be phenomenal.3-9....at best
Going back to the last win which I think was AR game in 2023 (correct me if I'm wrong), as of the next chance we have to win an SEC game (TN on Sept 27) it will have been 707 days, or 1 year 11 months and 6 days since we won an SEC game. How many days since we’ve won one SEC game?
We may actually surpass Vandy for futility by the end of this season. So this is what it feels like to be Vanderbilt. Minus the academic excellence, of course.
By mid-August some folks in this echo chamber will say they can see a path to 9-3 if things go our way.
My biggest success marker is going to be if we are able to force a punt.I'll not be among those in the chamber of echoes.
I'll be proud as punch if we start 1-0 and Shapen isn't scheduled for a surgery.

To put things in perspective, our hopes and dreams of improvement are mostly based on the following:Please provide what you see as a reasonable path to 6-6. I'm happy to consider it with an open mind.
You left off one thing:To put things in perspective, our hopes and dreams of improvement are mostly based on the following:
1. Our D line will be improved yet still be one of the worst in the conference
2. Our alleged team strength is the RB room which finished 14th in the conference last year
3. An improved O line that was mostly built with 11th hour Spring portal additions
4. Shapen staying healthy
How could this plan possibly not work???
6. Head coach becomes competentYou left off one thing:
5. Our no experience defensive coordinator now has a year under his belt and has added a couple of retreads to help him learn
I don't think "experience" is going to help Hutzler any. But the analysts might. Maybe we could convince one of them to take over the defense for real. You left off one thing:

We will be lucky to win 1 of those 5.I don’t think it’s a realistic path but if you are trying to chart a path to 6 wins, it involves winning 3 of the following 5.
Arizona State
Tennessee
@ Arkansas
@ Missouri
Ole Miss
I am going to go ahead and concede Georgia, Texas, @ Florida, and @ A&M.
Yep, we're good to goYou left off one thing:

Yep, kinda like we shouldn't expect "experience" to help a puny kid that's getting daily *** beatings on the playground. Another few months of it happening doesn't change a damn thingI don't think "experience" is going to help Hutzler any. But the analysts might. Another peeve of mine. People clamoring to start the young freshman who's not ready so he can get "experience." If he's not ready to play, that experience will hurt more than it will help. (I'm speaking in general, not specifically about our 3rd string QB).Yep, kinda like we shouldn't expect "experience" to help a puny kid that's getting daily *** beatings on the playground. Shii. Remember. MSU hasn’t beat Alabama for just short of two decades. Vandy did it last year.So this is what it feels like to be Vanderbilt. Minus the academic excellence, of course.

I'm hoping for 4-8 with one of those a SEC win and just be reasonably competitive in our losses. It feels awful to say but 5-7 would be a good season for our program in its current state. 6-6 would be amazing.
