MSNBC and CNN will get taken to the cleaners in court. How dumb....

I didn't see it; didn't realize they showed the ID of the mother. Invasion of her privacy. Entering the apartment (and broadcasting the contents) isn't any wrongdoing.
I was watching it live on MSNBC as it was unfolding. A reporter of Inside Edition paid the landlord $1000 for access and all the other media that was there just jumped up as they were removing the boards on the front door. From what was discussed, the FBI took down the police tape and turned over the premise to the landlord. I don't think CNN or MSNBC or the other media outlets and there were a bunch will be at fault on anything. It may or may not be legal (it's considered an active crime scene) but common sense and decency says its out of bounds to enter the apartment. But that's where we're at today with media (all forms). Shock value and entertainment...

I agree it was quite shocking but it wasn't MSNBC or CNN leading the charge. I was watching it live. Were you? Did you see the same thing I saw? If you did, you would know there were ton of media outlets just following along. The FBI said they were done. The local police said that it was still an active crime scene. Even journalists are appalled at the actions of MSNBC and CNN. They violated the privacy of citizens by broadcasting information about them. For example, Syed's sister is a member of a pretty radical Islamic organization (not necessarily violent) and their certificate of appreciation was broadcast. She could now be in danger.

It is still an active crime scene which a ton of evidence could have been found such as fingerprints and dna of others. The home should not have been opened up and that was evident to me and I'm not a lawyer or in law enforcement.Whats the big deal ???
