Ironically our defenses have (generally) been more dependable than our offenses under Mullen even though Mullen is supposedly an offensive guru.

Wow. Just wow.

When Mullen was hired, he said his goal was to get to Atlanta. I doubt we're any closer to getting to Atlanta than when he was first hired. We lost too many recruiting battles-especially on the OL. I think we'll have a pretty good team this year-maybe finish 7-5 or 8-4.

Holy 17. At least I now know what the NC in your name stands for, No Clue.

We aren't any closer to winning the West. You might not want to hear that, but it's true. Bama, LSU & Auburn are still there. Mullen is still 1-14 against them. There's been no indication that is about to change.

That's cute. I hope you are right, and that we are closer to Atlanta. Would be great to see us back there again. It was the most exciting atmosphere that I've ever seen at a football game.

Huge disagree. Yes, Mullen is almost o-fer against the Big 3. How long will it stay that way? He's had close games with 2 of 3 and all he needs is one to get the dominoes falling.

Because teams are better doesn't mean State is not closer to winning the West. State probably isn't going to be the undisputed best team in the West any year. But parody works for State. Not against State.

You have to admit, part of the reason we are closer to ATL is because LSU, Bama, and aTm are going to be breaking in new QBs and our schedule is favorable. Not because we have taken a monumental steps forward in talent.

And yes, I'm on the "this is our year" bandwagon too.

He's a better guru when he has QB's that fit his system which he now has 3 with

1 more on the way in Staley. I look for us to take a step forward offensively this year even with the questions about the O-line. I really liked all 3 QB's at the spring game, future is bright.

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling...

...okay it wasn't Billy Madison. But I don't see anything in your post that indicates we're closer to winning the West.

Well we could field the best defense in the west. We have potentially the best qb in the west. If those two pan out, we have as good a chance as anyone. Defense and qb's win games.

Not in our favor:
- road trips to bama and lsu
- fg kicker
- unproven rt
