Report: NCAA considering rule change to end fake injury crisis in college football
The NCAA rules committee is reportedly considering an idea to have injured players sit out a full drive, in an effort to stop the fake injury.
The green dot defensive player being exempt is what I don't understand - there should be no exempt players on D.Why exempt the quarterback? If he flops, he should be held to the same rule as anybody else.

This should be known as the "Kiffin is a cheating ****" rule.
I tend to agree, but green dots are usually captains. Right? I don’t think coaches would want them faking injuries because they are probably one of the best players on the field. Green dots should still have a graduated sit out scale. First time - 1 play , second time -3 plays, third time - remainder of the quarter and the following quarter if this happens with less than 5 minutes in the quarter). It’s all in the spirit of player safety… right? The green dot defensive player being exempt is what I don't understand - there should be no exempt players on D.
That's because he's so happy to see rules to curb fake injuries. Nobody's been victimized by fake injuries more than Mississippi. Just ask him. **I do like how Kiffin is front and center of this article.
They're too scared to do that, but that's the real answer. Or just throw a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for it. You could only throw the flags on the very obvious ones (which is to say most of them). You won't have to call the penalty more than a couple of times before all the fake injuries just go away and teams line up and play football.Fine or suspend the HC and coordinator for the side that flopped. It's not hard to look at the tape and figure out when this happens. Do something like 20% of your per game salary and you will have coaches' attention and you don't have to worry about potentially screwing over the player mid game or give him incentive to not call for help when he's really banged up. Plus, we already think officials suck at their job - don't give them another subjective responsibility to screw up.
