Meanwhile the powers that be have stepped their confiscating waters and snacks that people bring in
They need to allow the "community police officers" at the entrance to use their brains. At the Indiana game in December, they tried to stop me from brining in a water I had just bought at the "Winter Village" right outside the RAC. I don't agree with the policy of zero outside food and drink but I understand why they do it.

I had just given Rutgers $5 for the glorified Dasani tap water. Why does it matter if I bought in the winter village tent outside or at a stand in the building? They wouldn't accept my explanation but I refused to surrender the water and just kept walking. Disappeared into the crowd and went up to my seat.

Its a two way interaction between fans and team.Fans are more impactful on defense and less on offense.Scoring droughts are a talent issue that fans can't change. On defense the noise level can change the concentration of opponents causing turnovers and shot clock violations.

Yeah, fine. But did the team follow up? How about the second half when we rallied and the d kept giving up threes and easy buckets late in the clock? Crowd was trying its best.
Yeah I don't understand why that guy thinks the crowd should have been going wild while we were getting manhandled at home by one of the worst teams in the Big Ten. It was a horrible performance by Rutgers.

I didnt like blame the fans for the Nebby atmosphere...team **** the bed

BUT overall this year something is lacking with the RAC atmosphere...dont see as much hunger from the students...there have been better and more engaged student sections in the Rice years
Excellent point.

RAC was not on A game against Nebraska …and candidly , it’s not the first time it wasn’t on its A game this year

We are potentially short handed and REALLY need to bring the energy Thursday night to get a win here and sone breathing room gojng into the last three

Riot squad …you guys are awesome but you need to get your fellow students loud and in the game ….LOUD

Rest of us ..it’s a 830 start . No excuse to not be there on time .

Wear black, rest the voice …and LETS BRING IT…..
" Potentially short handed" ?? I've been out gambling-- what's changed-- miraculous recoveries??

The question is: were you trying your best? Only you can look deep within your soul and answer this question. I know that I can answer that question for myself with an emphatic "yes" before the pride of Sakuragaoka Gakuen High School tore my heart out and trampled all over it on the RAC floor, ironically, on Valentine's Day.

I think the people sitting to my left, right, and directly in front of me in the VIP seats on the floor, canal attest to the fact that I was definitely giving it 150% lol!!!

Are the short and fat 1 star high school football players going to be taking up 1/3 of student section for this game?

Amused B1G schedules a late Rutgers home game on Valentine’s Day.

B1G always has Rutgers’ best interests at heart.

We've played befoe on Valentine's Day, actually. I even remember a game vs ND which the 100's were in alternating "white/red" t-shirts. Nothing to see here (as usual).

When a team (Nebraska) continually responds to runs with 3's and difficult 2's and especially when a key player is gone, it's hard to expect the fans to keep up their moxie for 2 hours. Have you ever read the threads during a game ,some of our supposed fans jump off the bandwagon in the first 2 minutes.

B1G game? So there was that one time twenty years ago…

Almost as good as a noon start at the Garden.

Nothing to see here… SMH (As usual).

Are you actually suggesting that the big ten was trying to **** us by scheduling the Nebraska game on Valentine’s Day?

No doubt crowd just wasn’t juice before Neb game, probably expecting a W. Tonight will be a different story, there will be plenty of Michigan fans sprinkled in the crowd so we will need to drown them out and the Howard factor, hasn’t spoke eloquently about RU like other Big 10 coaches.

I believe so SMDH. Completely absurd for THIS game especially.
only way to move them is to boo them and Schiano when their little parade begins
There is nothing more counterproductive and downright pathetic that a Rutgers fan can do on these boards than insult high school recruits and even suggest booing them. Seriously, what is going on around here? HIGH SCHOOL KIDS, that is who you're attacking, you cowards. If you're such tough guys, go say these things to their faces. Coaches Schiano and Pikiell would likely have you banned from the RAC and HPSS for life, which sounds like it would be a very good thing for the university.

By the way, I 100% support football recruits being given prime seats at basketball games, which is routinely done at Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin and by countless other big-time athletic programs around the country. Watch Alabama's next home game and you'll definitely see a bunch of football recruits in the front sections there, too. This is what it takes to be a big-time athletic program; if you don't like it than start writing letters urging Hobbs to have Rutgers leave the Big Ten.

Now you're calling people "losers?" And how about showing us that you have some semblance of reading comprehension skills? NOBODY is "attacking" high school kids.

Still waiting for you to PROVE to ALL OF US that "literally every big-time school in the country does that."....not just making assumptions about Alabama doing so (in seats that aren't necessarily the student section). COM'ON #89 MONIKER "LOSER," WE'RE ALL WAITING!!!!

P.S. - do you think you'll hit 100 monikers by NCAA Selection Sunday??? I'm pulling for you ya' whack-a-doodle!!!!

You are lying and it's right here for everyone to see. @toby83 called them "short and fat 1 star high school football players" in this very thread. You then directly responded to his post and instead of admonishing him for attacking high schoolers, you called it "completely absurd" that the recruits are being welcomed to the next game. So shame on both him and you. Your comments are disgraceful and (thankfully) do not represent Rutgers University.

Also, I don't owe you one darn thing. Just because you spend all day on a message board posting upwards of 100 times a day entitles you to nothing from me or anyone else. It's easy to Google articles about Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Alabama and other schools welcoming football recruits to basketball games and anyone with extra time on their hands is free to do so. Hopefully you can fit it in between today's 50-100 posts.

1) wow....what a stretch lol (i was simply responding to the fact that, yes, Greg will be having recruits sitting in the student section, instead of recruits, and any sane person would understand as much...).

2) you're the one who exclaimed, yesterday, that "literally every big-time school in the country does that" re: sitting 100's of people, who are NOT students of that school, in the lower level of their respective student sections. THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS ON YOU ya' (almost) 90-time "loser" lol!

He is right you are wrong, other schools do give tickets to recruits, clearly you don't pay attention to other teams arenas during telecasts.
