I will wait to see what Hicks does first. To this point he has been nothing more than a role player. Not a very important one either. He might take a good step forward this year but that remains to be seen. Giles might not be 100% when he enters college so there are some variables to figure out still.
I said shortly after the HB disaster that, for 1 year (figuring he was a sure fire OAD...) we would be fine with a Sr. Kyle in that spot. That proved to be correct, however I in no way shape or form was saying that Kyle was the better prospect or even player at that time- but the fact was that Kyle had proven a BOATLOAD and would go on to even more great things as the Final4 MOP. But hicks has done absolutely nothing- ABSOLUTELY NOTHING of substance to make that statement.

Given how completely wrong all of this "insider info" has been, I think Gary should get some new connections.
UNC has some really good insiders who get solid, reliable info. Gary is not one of them.

On a more serious note (i guess) i did read the rant. His inside info was that JP did not like or benefit from Roy's system and that he butted heads with some of the guys. That JP leaving was best for both parties.
Not only is this news EXTREMELY old, i know i posted this on the free board and a few others did as well back in February. It's just insane how long of a rant he posted as if he has inside information and it couldn't be more widely available to anyone. He's just not an insider by any stretch of the term. Those guys have to know he's a moron right?

Yeah, I just commented on this in the other thread. Has their recruiting fallen that much? They have 3 guys in the top 75, but none in the top 29 yet act as if their class has no equal. Just speachless on some of their comments....
What have I missed on the the UNCheats recruiting saga? I just read what retard Keysersosay#1 said about "This Guy Roy Wiliams" and how he now had a top 5 recruiting class for next season. Lets see, 247 had them ranked number 51 prior to Seventh Woods who is number 40 or so and now Karosyrup computes that to a top 5 class. He must definitely have a a degree from UNCheats. Woods is a nice pick up for them but he is not even a 5 star. Duke gets a 4 star recruit and its a nice pick up, UNC gets a 4 star and its the making of a top 5 recruiting class.
Nothing. Woods is a solid verbal/signee but he will not push the needle of UNC's class to top ten. Maybe somewhere is the 30's at this point is where they are going to land. Look at Duke, UK and Michigan St and you will see a top of the line class.
They actually are #4 on 247 now but I don't see them ending up there.

UNC has the 247 Sports 2016 #55 recruit in Robinson, #30 in Bradley and #41 in Woods. We have #2, #4, #14 and #39.

3 top 75 players isn't going to be in the 30s. That said, hopefully we can snag Alkins or Udoka (preferrably Alkins). One can hope.
Alright, in the 20's. This class is consisting of 3 role players at UNC. If they are your lead guys, UNC is going to be stuck in mediocrity for a bit. Alkins is more of a star type though, at this point. If UNC lands him that could be a much better looking class.
I saw the other day where he was ranked 11th. I am going to try and find it. #4 sounds fair to me though. I would hate to be accused of making this a competition by devilicious.
It looks we have one THR guru who thinks it's time to bring back the 4 corners. Right. Phil Ford ain't around and even if he was with the shot clock being reduced the pressure to get off a shot would be too much. The last time I remember the last time the 4 corners being used against us we had a 7-0 lead at half time. Ended up with a 37-30 win. I believe Banks, Spanarkel and Dennard were part of that team. With the athletic team we have I say bring it on. OFC
