@DevilDJ posted this in another thread, but it's just too perfect not to post again:

Someone willing to get banned should post this in that thread. It would be amazing.

As if they wouldn't be basking in our misery if it was Duke that had lost like that.

After a heartbreaking loss like that, Duke is the first thing on their minds. That's about right.

Didn't I see that one of them said at least we were there in the finals and Duke was at home. I can see it now five years from now unc fans talking among themselves "remember 2016 when we finished runner up. Man that was great and exciting. We could have won." OFC
They're pitiful; ultimately, they are just like every other team except one: not a champ

Stuff like this drives me crazy. Carolina fans are THE reason Duke fans were happy last night. They make it impossible to root for uNC even if them winning benefits Duke somehow. The person who told you that is likely a here and there fan. My neighbor has tar heel crap all over his yard but never knows when or who they are playing. He said that uNC fans root for Duke when uNC is out of it, but Duke fans wouldn't root for them the other way around. He is 50% right there

After I corrected her she then said she also roots for Duke and state...lol

I feel you guys on that. I tried to say something nice, but not too nice since it was UNC after all, about the game. I made sure not to talk trash either even though UNC fans would have if we had failed last season. But there were a couple of UNC fans that wanted to goad and provoke until I talked trash and then got mad at what I said lol.

This will be my last one for a while. This was from a guy who usually talks sense:

"I'll just leave this here

Coach williams reaction to last game of season vs kay's

Marcus paige's reaction to last game vs grayson allen's

The dook team's effort in their last game vs unc's

U wanna compare the two programs just look at those".

In other words, compare 5 titles to 2, 4 years and no ring to 2 years and 1 ring, and a team that fought all year. I'm happy with that comparison. :)

Some of these are gold....

pacolina...."There's no way the NCAA could guarantee that we lose, but they could increase our chances of losing by telling the refs "call it tight on UNC and loose on Nova". Then if the game is close, we probably lose, and we did."

HeelFan58...."I tend to think any prejudices belonged solely to the dooche bag refs. Let's face it officiating has sucked all year. Games turn into wrestling matches and that works against us. I can say one thing if I'd been on the court against Archidouche I'd have calmed his azz down a well placed step on the ankle or gone for a block and popped him in that Justin Bieber head. Apparently the head pop is ok cause I saw our bigs get a couple."

A few more....these guys are the gift that keeps on giving.

6666Heel...."In any case, based on the fiasco that was last night's grotesque, biased officiating, I think someone needs to be seriously asking all the assigned officials, one by one, just what in hell was going on to cause this crap!! My biggest concern is the possibility that whoever was the overzealous official last evening, has some major financial difficulties, and/or otherwise is "in the pocket" of outside interests who, for whatever reason, wanted to be relatively "sure" of a UNC loss last night."

al would...."I, like most everyone else in the UNC forum, watched the game and each have their own opinions about the officiating last night. Personally, with the amount of money involved in branding, I think the UNC system could make a good civil case against the NCAA for fraud and misrepresentation by claiming they had people that were actually fair and impartial, much less basketball referees... or (if the truth be known) the tourney was fair and impartial from selection to finish."

Heelmanwilm (this in response to al would's post)...."I just pried my eyeballs out with a pocket knife."

ChapelHeeled (the dumbest poster on the Rivals network)...."Al Would and DID nail the TRUTH on this matter! The issue is that UNC did NOT get equaltreatment. Thanks again Al..."

More from ChapelHeeled (hahaha)....."Just a STUPID analysis on your behalf. Did Villanova keep getting screwed every single time that a Big Call was made (at a key time)?? How many travels went uncalled where Villanova was/is concerned? How many arm bars did they get away with the entire game? How many times did any of their players get smacked in the head and never hear the Officials whistle blow because of it? How many moving screens did Villanova set and not get a single whistle blown when it happened? Oh, Jenkins last shot should NOT have counted (imo). The reason being that the passer set a Moving Screen. UNC should have had a much more FAIR CHANCE TO WIN (All imo) in the end. UNC played the better game. That is the way that it should have been late last night in my view with many supporting facts apparent..."

Not only did ChapelHeeled (Mr.IMO) post that...he put it in a flaming red font! Such a damn drama queen.

It seems there is a bit of a struggle going on at THR between the strait-jacket wearing members and the rational ones. Unfortunately, the rational posters are outnumbered.

Really? What was unfair about their draw? Are they saying it was unfair for them or Nova?

It's a travesty that the refs helped Villanova shoot 58% from the floor - no way do they shoot that well without the refs. UNC's defense was stellar the whole night!

As a lawyer, this really cracks me up. I would LOVE it if UNC filed such a bogus claim. That nonsense would get dismissed in a heartbeat.

Even if it was a moving screen, and I don't think it was, never be called. Maybe instead of blaming a screen blame the coach who didn't have a guy within 10 feet of Novas best player all the way up the court. Moving screen was set on Singler against Butler on their last shot...no call...and likely never will be on last second shots.

And I hope UNC tries to sue...I'm not a lawyer but I could argue that case and win.

There was absolutely no moving screen on that play the other night. But Singler got murdered and it directly led to an open attempt. All we can say is thank God that shot didn't go in.

On Grayson Allen returning from THR

Allen will be returning to Duke for his junior season.

Allen quoted earlier today via ESPN sources: "I feel like this is the right place for me to continue to do what I do best. NBA officials and Adam Silver do not seem as appreciative of my talent as the NCAA does. Goals for next season have to be getting at the new guys like Josh Jackson, Malik Monk, and Dennis Smith Jr. I hear that DSJ in particular has small feet so taking him down should be a great challenge and I'm excited for that. Coach K has already promised me I can trip each of our freshman at least once in practice so that was definitely a factor in the decision to come back. It's weird because he promised all of them I was leaving but I know Coach K, like George Washington, has never told a lie so I'm sure it's just a mix up. I'd also like to thank ESPN for promising me a broadcasting job in 2020 if I came back this year. Wait, I'm not supposed to talk about that? Ok. I mean. Cruz 2016."

Couldn't believe this gem from Chapelheeled

"Grayson Allen is going to pimp slap us next year. Frank Jackson is going to take a poop on Joel Berry's chest. Harry Giles will make me cry myself to sleep. A sophomore Vrankovich will be better than a senior Meeks. Nate Britt is our only hope (all imo)"

DSouthr has doubled down, folks. And you thought the quotes I posted last night were gold, didn't you?

***Disclaimer*** Please don't read the following if you have food or drink in your mouth. Doing so could cause serious damage to your esophagus, your computer, or cause you to choke. If not treated properly could even cause death.

And now, what you've all been waiting for....without further ado, DSouthr in his element. (I love how he throws some LOL's in there....like we're not supposed to know to laugh throughout the whole post.)

“I think anyone with a neutral eye watching that game questioned the officiating, questioned were all over twitter and most other versions of social media. While I would never suggest I am a neutral eye in such things those of you poking fun at our fans for expressing that something just didn't smell right about the way that game was called are coming off as homers for rival programs.

You may think it is cute to label something a grand conspiricy theroy but many of us find that very offensive, it is marginalizing someone else's opinion just because you see it differently. I have not talked much about the way the game was called and do not plan to but it did not smell right to me or many other fans UNC fans or fans of other programs. Maybe there was some gambling influence, would not be the first time gambling was a factor in the out come of a game. I offer that as just another potential explain for what we saw. Maybe it was a ref or 2 that just do not like UNC, that happens as well when you have humans and not machines doing the job. And maybe it was just a piss poor called game and UNC fans are more able to see the bad calls against us but I have not seen a ton of social media saying Villinova was hurt by the way the game was called.

I wanted us to win that game and a major reason I did want that was so this fan base could have a chance to come back together at least for a little while and not have any labels on us other than tar Heels. But here we are again, folks trying to label folks with an opinion as conspiricy theroists...

Couple other interesting aspects of this game:

1) They fronted Brice all game and he could not get around the front, they fronted him with their big at times and fronted him with their wing at times. Wonder why Brice, as long as he is, as good as his feet are, wonder how those fellas were able to front him and stay in front? Think maybe some holding may have been going to that kept Brice from being able to get in front of his defender?

2) UNC is the team that pounds the ball inside and Nova was more the jump shooting team and yet we get whistled for 8 in a row? How about that extreme touch foul they called on Marcus and yet on the other end Marcus was hammered and no whistle? Hicks is whistled for a block with the ref standing right there with clear view and Hicks never even touched the guy and yet on the either end Hicks is foul so hard it was heard in that huge arena and clearly heard on the TV broadcast again with a ref standing only a few feet away with clear view??

3) On a replay of Joel driving lay up that was replayed showing what a great job Joel did on that drive, did you not see Joel being bumped by his defender 2-3 different times as he went to the rim, if not replay it, it was crystal clear and a great camera angle.

Those are all things that were crystal clear and yet my mention of them will no doubt have me labeled conspiricy theroist? STOP with the labels already, I took what you said and I spoke to those issues without trying to put a label on you or anyone else. Can you not do the same with others?

I actually have not claimed that J, all I have said it what I saw does not smell right to me, that is actually ALL I have said. I did offer gambling as a consideration as something that has effected this sport before but I am not saying that is fact?

Maybe it surprises some but I have actually not one time said "the fix was in", clearly, as you said, you saw the bad calls, it didn't smell right to you either. I have not stated that I believe any specific reason for the bad smell. Matter of fact, I actually do not believe the reason for those questionable calls was the NCAA ordered it to be called that way. I am clearly stating that I do not believe what some label as a conspiricy, my point is other do and for voicing their opinion I do not think they should be labeled as anything but Tar Heels and I do NOT like the attempts to marginalize them or poke fun of them for sharing what they believe.

Some people believe in God, others don't, do you like your belief in God being made fun of by those that do not believe as you do? That is actually the point I am making, sorry if it offends anyone, well actually not that sorry...LOL.”

You can tell Dsuckr is in sales because he uses a lot of words to say nothing in particular.

I love his posts, because they are always the same thing "I'm not actually saying it, but I'm implying it, which means I can retreat from it later".
