THR was mocking Coach K and Duke, calling him a coward for not scheduling true road games. I replied more than 24 hours ago, but I haven't received any response as of yet. I wonder why? Here's what I wrote:
"RPI calculates 1.4 wins for a road win and 0.6 wins for a home win; conversely, -1.4 points for a home loss and -0.6 points for a road loss (edit: it's actually low risk, high reward for scheduling road games). So going on the road can actually be very beneficial to a team's RPI. Just ask Long Beach State. They consistently have a top 100 RPI ranking with 14+ losses in a relatively weak conference
Duke's out-of-conference SOS has been better than UNC's in 4 of the last 5 seasons.
Non-Conference Strength of Schedule
Duke:
2016- 10
2015- 40
2014- 20
2013- 1
2012- 2
Average: 14.6
UNC:
2016- 78
2015- 5
2014- 35
2013- 77
2012- 20
Average: 43"
And, of course, there's the whole neutral court environment being a much closer simulation to the NCAA Tournament than a true home game or true road game. Duke doesn't schedule true home games against P5 teams either. But hey, when you have a journalist ranting about Duke's cowardly ways, join the bandwagon. It's probably true.

but to suggest we play a soft OOC schedule? Facts suggest otherwise. They hate facts.
I have a top-secret inside source from THR that tells me the eye test is more relevant than facts.
You guys have probably never heard of him because he rarely frequents the Duke boards.
Good old gary responding to dadika.

I think we have a real shot with Bamba after listening to how he talks about Carolina. Not sure why people are so pessimistic about his recruitment here.
"Maybe because too many on here rely on dookies for their "information"..."
Yea unx 92 loves dickSo this thread has become dick posting stupid *** gifs and unc 92 liking every one of them. Cool.

Dips**t gary responding to Archer asking why they haven't offered guard Mark Coleman yet:
"Arch, as you know I've wondered the same thing, and after asking around I've heard there may be some non-basketball "issues" there --- which of course could range from undesirable AAU stuff, to academic stuff, or merely small snags -- I couldn't get a definitive answer, so take that as speculative grapevine material. If Roy offers that will tell me that any issues have been worked out. I hope that is the case."
Of course it could be "undesirable AAU stuff" to "academic stuff" (LOL). Also love how gary has always been "asking around" to all his secret "sources." Jesus, what a trip that goofball is.
I WILL NOT vote for that witch. Gotta go with the lesser of two evils. With all that is going on now, could be a very interesting four years coming up. Scary times ahead. The thought of the fact that this thing will probably be our next President makes me sick. I have never seen an election year with two more ridiculously horrible candidates. God help us all.
It's hard putting a face on people online. Obviously Duke would be that much better if Giles were completely healthy. Not trying to say they'd be just as good without him. But even without him on the roster, Duke would be very good. Some UK fans have a weird obsession with downplaying other teams as if it builds their team up. There is a thread on the CBB where a Kentucky fan listed his top ten draft picks for next year. He only added commentary and question marks on two players out of the ten and surprise surprise, Giles and Tatum. Because we all know that every UK recruit will live up to expectations and none of them have any question marks regarding their development.Anyone who thinks this Duke team will be anything but great is an absolute idiot. Even if Giles knee were to have issues , we're going to be crazy good.
That aprticular poster has one that recently with most of Dukes guys. I noticed his list as well. Pretty funny stuff.Obviously Duke would be that much better if Giles were completely healthy. @imajericho 20 minutes before Tillman committed to Illinois:Tillman just committed to the Illini so I guess gary will announce that he was right about his vague announcement that they were losing ground on one of there targets.Easy to be right when you make open ended predictions like that
