Let's steer this thread back on track to the stupid things said at THR.

What if I say something stupid here? Technically, you couldn't really include it in this thread.

That methodology has it's own flaws and I'm not the only one that thinks so. Ask Charles Barkley and other NBAers who don't subscribe to those advanced analytics because they don't take certain things into account such as game situations (is player X taking shots in blowout situations, etc).

Charles Barkley is still celebrating Kris Jenkins shot I heard!!! Man "Sir Charles" had hops that nite didnt he!!!???

Since I'm banned over there I can only view THR while I'm logged out, so it makes it difficult to copy posts. I decided to see what they've been talking about lately since I hadn't been over there in a while and there's a thread about Durant signing with GSW. DSouthr posted another one of his novels, it start/ off with "First of all, I don't blame Durant"

Wow, just when you think gary can't get any more pathetic...
Eric Bossi rebutting the presumption that Felton would be top-10 if he had committed to Kentucky and why Felton really dropped in the rankings:

Kind of like when Charles Matthews was No. 12 when he committed to Kentucky and tumbled down the rankings.

The deal with Felton is simple and anybody who has watched him or read what we've written about him over the years could see this coming. He has no motor and plays when he feels like it. Felton is very talented and could be a top 10-15 player but he's got to cut down on turnovers and play hard with more consistency.
@gunslingerdick, why don't you pass the truth along to ya boy Gary.;)

Because I don't care. I don't care about gary's opinion. I don't care about Eric Bossi (or even know who he is) and I don't care about Felton's ranking. I've seen him play. I'm glad we got him. If you want to rub something in his face, you can do it yourself. I'm sure you'd be welcomed with open arms on THR.

Lying Gary and Dsouthr-mouth saying that UNC recruits fall in the rankings is so idiotic. Many at UNC say they say that Roy and UNC don't want OAD recruits because they choose to develop players who will stay 3 or 4 years and learn the great UNC system and I guess they are not smart enough to realize that these guys will not be 5 star players to begin with and thus their lower rankings. It's really pretty simple to understand that the OAD recruits will be the higher ranked players and the 3 or 4 year players, like Joel Berry will be lower ranked. Some of the UNC posters say the dumbest crap I have ever read.

I think most experts would agree that 0-time all-star Mike Conley is, in fact, the quintessential point guard. No argument here.

Gunslinger some of the stuff you say makes me think that maybe you are trying to get banned. Our mods have really thick skin, otherwise you would be just a bad memory.
Agree said this when he first started posting against do not want hi to be banned because do not want to give him the satisfaction of him going back to his board claiming that he got under our skins. He is just another little UNC punk who cannot handle the fact that we have been kicking their asses for the last decade

Actually, I think most experts would agree it's infinitely easier to make the all- Star team in the east vs. the west. I also think many "experts" would agree that Mike Conley is not only one of the most underrated players in the league but also one of the best lead guards in the league. Some of us ol' timers appreciate defense and facilitation. Sounds crazy, I know.

I thought you'd appreciate the quote by itself. Wouldn't want to deviate from the title of the thread.

Yeah, I thought it was fantastic. Do you disagree with my statement or not?

Well, then I guess you just won't get to tell that big meanie gary what you think of him.

Look at this ******* comment. I understand you mods here are letting this idiot get away with waaaaaay more than he should just to show that you are a lot more lenient than the dork mods at THR, but come on. This is a joke.

THR was mocking Coach K and Duke, calling him a coward for not scheduling true road games. I replied more than 24 hours ago, but I haven't received any response as of yet. I wonder why? Here's what I wrote:

"RPI calculates 1.4 wins for a road win and 0.6 wins for a home win; conversely, -1.4 points for a home loss and -0.6 points for a road loss (edit: it's actually low risk, high reward for scheduling road games). So going on the road can actually be very beneficial to a team's RPI. Just ask Long Beach State. They consistently have a top 100 RPI ranking with 14+ losses in a relatively weak conference

Duke's out-of-conference SOS has been better than UNC's in 4 of the last 5 seasons.

Non-Conference Strength of Schedule
Duke:
2016- 10
2015- 40
2014- 20
2013- 1
2012- 2
Average: 14.6

UNC:
2016- 78
2015- 5
2014- 35
2013- 77
2012- 20
Average: 43"

And, of course, there's the whole neutral court environment being a much closer simulation to the NCAA Tournament than a true home game or true road game. Duke doesn't schedule true home games against P5 teams either. But hey, when you have a journalist ranting about Duke's cowardly ways, join the bandwagon. It's probably true.

Almost 30 hours later and still no response. Very similar to when I replied to Archer & others that professed that Roy doesn't recruits OAD players. He went back and forth with some Duke fans, but as soon as I drop some stats such as Roy offering 15 of the top 25 kids in the 2016 class, well the conversation just ended. Facts hurt people's feelings I guess.
