LOL, then if he is evil, he must be a really strong and influential kind of evil.
To be fair, they do refer to him as Vader. Perhaps that's got some legs.

I didn't see his name in Rivals so he I gave him the benefit of being on someones top 200. I think Gunslinger said he was 175.Is he actually a top-200 player? Rivals only goes to 150, and he isn't on that list...
Gary sounding like Roy talking about Tony Bradley:
TB is in the perfect position for both himself and the team. He could start in most programs, but it is better all around for him to learn and come along at his pace behind the experienced players that we are fortunate enough to have.
With that kind of mindset, I guess it's a good thing Roy is "outworking" all the other coaches for all the elite recruits.

Duke has a better chance of getting at least 4 of those guys than UNC does of getting one of them, I thinkThose asshats are scared s***less about Duke's 2017 class. Several of them saying no way will we get the dream class of Carter, Bamba, Knox, Trent Jr., and Quade Green. I know it doesn't mean it will definitely happen but 247 predictions have Carter at 100% Duke, Bamba 86%, Knox 92%, Trent Jr. 100% and Quade Green at 76%. Yeah, they are s***ting themselves.
Funny exchange about the chances of Carter committing to UNC:
Gary: we likely are in his top 3. Of course that may not matter if he has in fact swallowed the Capel Kool-aid, but again, if anything we were in his original top-1 a couple years ago (Damn it).
@HeelFan58: Carter is listed as warmer for dook and warm for Harvard and UK , even in 2014 all the picks on the crystal ball were for [Duke].
Gary: crystal ball, schmystal ball.
Ok Gary, everyone should listen to you and ignore recruiting services that have discredited your theories for years now.
That was deep Huffy! And honestly spot on. He does this quite often. No UNC recruit ever goes somewhere else for any other reason than outside factors and fishiness being involved. Whether it's AZ or UK paying them off, "HANDLERS," or negative recruiting due to the "junk," there's always a built in excuse. They're backs are always against the wall and they have to make up SO MUCH GROUND just to even get into it, which is a "testament to ROY."It does not reflect well on THR that so many of them are still oblivious to his shtick. It is particularly transparent in his comments on Carter. He loves to claim that UNC once led or would have led, which is patently untrue. And he also loves to claim that Roy has made up ground and is in the mix for Carter. That way, when Carter inevitably goes elsewhere, as the majority of UNC targets do, he can pat Roy on the back for "getting back in the hunt" and making it a tough decision for Carter, and so on. It won't matter that none of those things are true, he is just preemptively spinning success from the eventual failure because the actual reality is too hard for him to digest.

Speaking of negative recruiting. "Duke doesn't get guys to the league." "Duke doesn't develop big men." "K is on his way out." Any of those common lines they would throw out there for years ring a bell? Sucks when the shoe is on the other foot doesn it. The difference here, and it's a big one, is that those are subjective theories that are spun to negatively recruit. Here's what we do know. that "junk" you're talking about? That junk is your university's own creation. YOU DID that. So don't get pissy and mad when someone else might bring it up as an actual point against you. Don't want to deal with it? Don't cheat in the first place.
When speculation morphs into absolute certainty:
@truetarheelraider0806: "I am hearing that we are really in it for bamba. Now that is not to say he is a lock but roy seems to be going great there. Also we are firmly in it for Knox and Washington. Carter is dook bound the negative recruiting from dooks assistant has done a number on his family. We made a small comeback but it's probably to little to late. Even though he says he wants Roy to continue to recruit him."

Well, we all know a Sophomore Meeks was better than Okafor...And Meeks? come on man. I'd put Hicks on there before Meeks.
Superstar57 potentially making his first appearance here?
"JB, JJ, and Meeks should be on the preseason watch list as POY. JB has a really good shot at POY.16pts 7assist and winning the ACC regular season is the only way. Anything less and you can give the award to "trip a lot" over at Puke. K is about to make this guy look great with the pieces he will have."
Did you miss last year when Grayson was first team All ACC, in the ACC POY running all season, and An All American? With a team that was one dimensional and only had one other guy that you could count on to support him each night?
And Meeks? come on man. I'd put Hicks on there before Meeks.

I am worried that Big Luke Maye and Platelet might end up playing at the same time unless BLM goes pro after this season. I don't know if Duke could overcome that.
hahaha $o true.I made a couple of slight changes to your post to make it thr authentic.
They're out there, coaching Team USA.A couple of them at THR are questioning whether K and staff are in Vegas watching the recruits. Are they really not out there?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Duke beat the teams that beat Kentucky on their way to national titles in 2010 and 2015. So if Duke got handed the "easy roads," what does that mean for those Kentucky teams, one of which was undefeated before its lone loss of the season? There is a thread at RR claiming K will retire after the 2017-18 season. This is the contribution from some moron that goes by "Skutt".
"The last year of coach K is going to be worse than even Wooden. Look for the entire year to be about Duke, K, and his legacy. The NCAA will do everything in its power to see to it Duke wins that championship. I wouldn't be surprised if they are given a waiver to the final four.
Half of his legacy will be remembered as the golden child of the corrupt NCAA, the easiest roads imaginable, and zebras in his back pocket."
Easiest brackets, refs make it 8 on 5 when you play Duke...blah, blah, blah. Get some new material, haters.
Coming from a Kentucky fan, the complaining about advantages thing is priceless. I mean it isn't like they have the advantage with the refs in their hoops conference, is it? If you do not believe so, as fans of every other program in the SEC and they will tell you. Oh and when Duke has such an easy road, that moron may want to take a look at who Duke beat in those easy roads. (A hint, it is the team that knocked them out) So....There is a thread at RR claiming K will retire after the 2017-18 season. This is the contribution from some moron that goes by "Skutt".

Me as well. Berry is really good. The others are good players but they won't sniff national recognition like that.I can buy Joel Berry as in the watch list for NPOY. Just not the others.
I think Berry will be one of the top PGs in the country. He'll be the alpha dog on that team. He'll contend for POY in the conference. Jackson would really have to break out. Meeks no chance.Me as well. Berry is really good. The others are good players but they won't sniff national recognition like that.
Oh god, the day after that game on the national board was hilarious. A certain poster just couldn't wrap his head around the fact that the block was clean. Even after demanding and receiving photographic evidence. It was quite comical.Berry for the...never mind. Clean block, despite protests from THR.
