Maryland plays in the ACC
Coach K needs to bench KG
Meeks is playing above the rim

Recruits come to UNC partly beacuse of the academic excellence

@IDUNK4HEELS on how he would fix Team USA:

Who would I take out well that it very simple answer and it would be Kevin Garnett. Look at Garnett scoring and rebounding in the last couple of games and you will see the same stats I see.

He must have been watching replays of the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney, because that was the last time Garnett was on Team USA.
Kevin Garnett needs to go. He didn't even score in tonight's game.

He has a trance on them. Also he tells them what they want to hear. I wonder what he does for a living. Maybe he works with a carnival as the shell game man. OFC
I think I read somewhere that Gary was a bull ***** collector in the cryogenic insemination industry.

In one sense I could not care less what Gary-7 or anyone at THR says about K. I really do not even care that K is the reason that he feels the way he does about the USA Basketball as a whole.

What gets me is what a little man it takes to actually post those thoughts. A sad little man sitting at his keyboard desperately seeking some attention.

BluePhil you couldn't be more correct about anything as he must be a really hate filled and jealous little man. I imagine he bathes infrequently and hates children and dogs. Pitiful excuse of a man he is.

"Any Duke fan that thinks Kentucky is going to bow down to Allen and fear what the kid can do on a basketball court is outta their minds. Allen can score the ball as well as any player in the country, but with Briscoe guarding the kid, i think we're be okay. The kid is a scorer and not a point guard. Duke needs the kid to switch and play point guard. I doubt it happens. He will most likely try to play a lil point guard, but actually being a natural point guard who looks to get others involved before worrying about their own? That he is not, nor will he ever be. Every Kentucky fan knows Duke has a talented roster. You guys are just as loaded as we are, if not more. When you have talents like Giles and Tatum, you are going to be in the hunt for a national title. If Giles is 100%, he is the type of guy Kentucky fans might worry about. If Tatum ever figures out in order to play team basketball, you have to pass the ball, he is another that might worry some Kentucky fans. Allen is not the type of talent we are going to look at and fear. We have shut the kid down once already and i'm sure if matched up again, Briscoe will make sure Allen has the most trouble getting his he has had the entire season. Luckily for us, we are also pretty loaded with talent. Once Giles figures out that being the best player on Duke's roster doesn't mean much when you have a teammate like Allen who has to get his before worrying about others, Duke's team will be way more fun to watch than expected."

They always act like Briscoe is some insane defender because he "shut down" Grayson last year. Haaa. Grayson was out of control an too jacked up but I don't think it was all Briscoe. Grayson was inexplicably flying right into 6'10" guys constantly. Just a weird game for him.

Wait...so if Grayson found himself amongst the trees, doesn't that imply that Briscoe allowed him to get to the rim in the first place? Kentucky will coast through the SEC and bow out to a team with more experience that cares about winning ships and has players not just aiming for a lottery spot.

I am too lazy right now but some clown over there asks if they are seriously in it for Kevin Knox and some BillyL responds with "Indeed...." Ha, keep dreaming, goofballs.

@IDUNK4HEELS on Team USA's turnaround last night:

Wow what a difference when the team decides to buckle down and play defense and Durant decides to take some shots again...I heard during the telecast that the team had a players only meeting yesterday and it looks like it works...

When we play poorly, it's all on Coach K. When we win, it's all because of the players. Interesting.

I've been waiting for the morons at THR and/or RR to say something stupid like that.

I mean, I totally get giving the players a lot of credit for last night. I just think many who have been critical of the coaching shouldn't remain silent when Coach K made personnel adjustments last night that proved pivotal to our success (i.e. surrounding Durant with 4 defensive-minded players). The turnaround last night wasn't solely due to players deciding to "buckle down" or having a "players only meeting" prior to the game. That fact is certainly lost on those who simply search for a reason to criticize Coach K while simultaneously withholding any actual credit that is deserved.

Kind of funny to see their predictions compared to 247. Why do they even have Wilkes on the list? UNC didn't make his final 5. The 247 picks are in parenthesis:

Carter 9.4% (0%)
Bamba 46.9% (0%)
Knox 21.9 (0%)
Wilkes 3.1% (0%)
Washington 40.6% (8%)
Stokes 68.8% (0%)

AFTER, they win gold, wait and see what the players say about K and how he worked to motivate them and describe how important their task was. I doubt they'll mention things like "K was trying to sabotage us from winning" and "K couldn't coach us so we had to coach ourselves." Amazing what they post over there in that litter box.

This at RR from "morgousky." In a thread talking about how Charles Barkley doesn't like the team assembled for the Olympics. Of course it becomes a "Bash Coach K" deal.

Cowtown Cat said:
I still say UK will be a better team by March. Duke has zero distributors and their guards are always left picking up their jocks after players blow by them off the bounce.

morgousky said:
But you've got to take into account the NCAA and officials. Duke will get the aid they need in areas they are lacking. If they have trouble penetrating, they'll hit threes and also get lots of fouls called driving the lane.

Until K is gone it's going to be this way. To beat Duke in the tourney you have to really just take it. Any room left for officials to help out will be a huge problem.

For a fan base that claims the all time greatest program, a lot of those clowns sure are insecure. There are some pretty good UK posters on the national board, but lately there have been a lot more RR type posters there.

The vast majority I've encountered are an unrelenting nightmare immune to facts and reason. It's all insults, chest-puffing, conspiracy theories, trolling, and passing off their own opinions as fact. Also, a fair amount of underlying insecurity if I'm being honest.

I feel badly for the reasonable ones on the national board because they get labelled crazy by association, when in actuality, they know their stuff and are fun to converse with.

Duke's guards are always left picking up their jocks after players blow by them off the bounce, huh? Keep telling yourself that, buddy....
