But it's all good, because these juniors will just stay another year longer than they should have, while Tyus, Jahlil, and Winslow enter their third years in the league

Nothing to do with THR. But a funny story.

On the way back from the store, we saw a man and his wife on the side of the road with a flat tire. He didn't have a jack or a lug wrench. I helped him by actually changing the tire myself. He hardly said thank you, instead he made a comment on my Duke eating unc fish magnet on my car. He said, I must say if I saw you on the side of the road with that sticker I wouldn't have stopped. I laughed and he said it wasn't funny and got in his car in left. Good stuff, has to be a member of THR.

From Gary-7. Apparently he has seen the NBA 2k 17 commercial

"...and he's making commercials with NBA guys (no advantage, huh?).
He has jumped the Calipari shark. I have zero respect for that wanker."

That is just amazing to me but it says a lot about a tar heel fan. If they are going to pull against our Olympic team because of Coach K then it's predictable that they like the ones who passed by the victim on the side of the road in the parable of the good Samaritan why should they stop to help a Duke fan in stress. Now that is what a deplorable person is. OFC

That's pretty ridiculous. Why would someone act so petulant after you took time out of your day to do them a huge favor? Regardless, kudos to you for being a good samaritan and doing the right thing.

I saw that too....what is his point? Other than extra sour grapes?
It is for one reason only....he is jealous that his coach is not the one in that commercial. Maybe Gary can talk about that with his coaching mafia. While he does that, Coach K can go on killing it in everything he does and his coaching mafia can all keep aspiring to reach 1 millionth the level the coach of Duke hoops has reached.

Gary- 7 and the rest of the THR goons and the Rupp Rafters Goons only wish their coaches could be half the coach, Coach K is. Bad thing is the their coaches AREN'T even close to half.

I'd have stuck a knife in the tire I had just put on at that point and drove off.

I won't lie. 10 years ago, I probably would have done that except I wouldn't have driven off. Things have happened in my life that have calmed me down and made me look at things a lot different. In fact, 10 years ago I probably was that guy. Now I just reserve my anger for sports. Haha.

heels05champs commenting on Gary-7 "inside information".

Gary, your so called "inside information" is a joke and always has been. Matter of fact, there was once a poster called WTZ, i'm still not sure whether you are him or not. All you do is attack posters that disagree with your bulls**t positive spin on everything. Dude, you are a fraud. It is that simple. And you get butthurt anytime someone disagrees with lil Gary-7. I get the impression you do not know what factual means, because making a subjective comment about an Athletic Department couldn't be more opinionated.

I think you give yourself too much credit lil Gary... If you were to take your toys and run to the Auburn board, not many would be sad. Well, your girlfriend SK1310 might be...

Very interesting to see where this discussion goes between these two. Lol!

Zion is the perfect combination of attitude, strength, skill, motor, and character. I think his will can take him to stardom. He seems to have that killer Kobe, Hans, MJ type of "step on your neck" drive too.

Wait. Did he just compare Hansbrough to Kobe and MJ?

I look at every day as a reward. I am not the most giving person when it comes to money. But I have no problem giving my time.

The wife on the other hand. She was ready to chase him down and run him off the side of the road.
LetsGoDuke I am pretty much the same way with money because I am retired and I don't have much income but I do have an abundance of time.

Yeah I saw this and thought, "FINALLY, someone calling him on his BS." Thread locked immediately afterwards. Gary is an Auburn football, UNC basketball fan... I wouldn't think someone so close to the program, with such keen insight into the recruiting world and summer practices (Kennedy "Air Jordan" Meeks above the rim play), would be a bandwagon fan.

kudos to heels05champs for finally calling him out.

It's funny because I see where the mods are coming from in wanting to keep the discussion to basketball and not catfights. The problem is Gary says so many ridiculous things and starts all the problems.

That is what cracks me up. His nonsense seems to be the one constant in all their issues (though it is good for entertainment here).

And I too hate it was locked. It was just about to get awesome.

I'm not sure why so many people try to discredit, Gary. Dude is critically acclaimed by AAU Coaches all over the country.

From Gary 7. It amazes me that after he gets called a fraud and a fake he continues to post recruiting information

... about actual recruiting info (and hopefully nothing more ITT):
FYI: Garrison Brooks told a local newspaper reporter in the Auburn-Opelika area that he will not be naming any leaders nor doing interviews about it. He intends to take his visits. make his decision, announce it and sign in November. As I posted before, Auburn is trying to get his official next week --- if not it would come after UNC. I dunno if that will matter, given that he's been on AU's campus multiple times because of the proximity. What will matter most IMO is his visit to Chapel Hill.

So, in summary:
On the plus side for UNC is that in the past he has said he has no qualms about playing somewhere away from home, he seems to be a Carolina fan (or at least a great admirer of the program), and the "wow" factor of what he called his "dream offer" to an elite program. In other words, it's Carolina.

On the minus side is his mom's love for AU as an alum, his proximity, familiarity and comfort with the Auburn campus (which, like Chapel Hill, is a terrific place in its own right), and Pearl's legendary salesmanship and recent recruiting successes.

The X-factor that may favor UNC is that Pearl sandbagged the local kid while his profile blew up and meanwhile a blue-blood swooped in. Question is did he make up for that with his recent full-staff press? We shall see.

There it is, laid out. Game on

Nothing really funny here. Just the fact he is still posting "inside information". I think if it were me getting called a fraud and a fake, I would lay low for a few days but not Gary-7. I guess the rest of THR still values his "inside information".

NewInteresting....maybe we should consider taking this one. Trying to put it mildly so I don't appear "crazy"

Roy is a freakin' genius at discovering the emerging gems!

Yeah, the list of emerging gems is so long I won't even try to list them all here. Maybe someone else could attempt it.

A few years ago I can't remember which thr poster it was had counted all the threads on thr and DI and was keeping count of how many tar heel reference threads we had here at DI as opposed to the Duke threads they had put up at thr. It was during the season and of course both boards were really at each other but who ever it was had pointed out at that time that there were quite a few more threads we had going about unc. Well one things for sure there will always be one thread about thr/unc/tar heel here at DI and I'm posting on it right now. Greatest thread ever and they can't stop it because they are writing it. Here was Gary's response to a Duke fan in the thread about Wendell Carter cutting his list to four. The Duke fan said something like, "I thought Wendell Sr. love him some Roy?" Gary, in true Gary fashion, responded as can be expected.

"Yeah he does. It's a shame your crooked little minion Capel was able to lie his *** off.
You get a shiny new account just for that? What a dookie douche. SMDH."

I hope Gary posts forever.

Haha, gary is very predictable. Maybe someone should get in his and his mafias ear that Duke is putting kids into the NBA, very quickly. Kids do not want to be held back for years they do not need to be in college. UNC can't get kids to come in because they do not have any kind of success with OADs. Duke does. UK does. In fact many programs have succeeded in this regard.

Roy coached 15 years at Kansas and now 13 years at UNC. In a combined 28 years of coaching at two blue-blood programs he's coached one NBA All-Star. One. That player was Paul Pierce and his final season in college was 1997-98. Today's high school seniors weren't even born then.
I've pointed this out before on the national board and subsequently been scoffed at by a few UNC fans, who retorted with "How many championships have Duke players won?" One is a sign of individual talent/growth, while the other is a sign of how good a team was (with or without the player in question). Those facts are lost on a segment of the UNC faithful.
