That’s crazy it’s getting so close. Seems like we just hired Stein like yesterday.
Be here before we know it.Is it Labor Day weekend yet?
I have my doubts about this. There are a large number that are pissed that Christ didn’t rise on the second day. No patienceStein has been A+ so far. Hope fans are patient with this schedule.

I think going at or below .500 is an almost certainty in year one. That doesn’t mean Stein has failed. It means it takes time to build a program and the schedule is insane.I don't know much about Ky football fans, but I hope like hell they have more patience then basketball fans. And Stein can do everything right, but how will all that be, if he goes 500 or below.
Will he get as much s.hit as Pope, or will football be any different?

5-7 is the floor.6-6 I'll be happy. First year so I'm not expecting a lotI don't know much about Ky football fans, but I hope like hell they have more patience then basketball fans. And Stein can do everything right, but how will all that be, if he goes 500 or below.

UK football fans have been patient to a fault. It took Joker-level losing for the fans to speak with their wallets in 2012. While Stoops did a good job righting the ship and building some level of respect for the program, it appeared that plateaued success coupled with the nil/tp crap and his romance with TAM nipped his enthusiasm in the butt, hence, we now have what I would call a revival of expectations.I don't know much about Ky football fans, but I hope like hell they have more patience then basketball fans. If Stein is willing to go down guns blazing every game, instead of puckering his keister up inside 2 min every half.....he'll be miles ahead of Stoops with the fans.I don't know much about Ky football fans, but I hope like hell they have more patience then basketball fans. Thank God you aren’t a Kentucky football fan. Stein didn’t inherit a Bentley like Pope did. He’s also recruited more 4 stars in less than a year than Pope has in 3.I don't know much about Ky football fans, but I hope like hell they have more patience then basketball fans. Got my season tickets. Parking pass arrived last week. I know that this is going to be a very tough season (6-6 maybe?), bring on September 5th and Youngstown State! That’s crazy it’s getting so close. Seems like we just hired Stein like yesterday.
The schedule will always be “insane” when you’re are trying to win big!I think going at or below .500 is an almost certainty in year one. That doesn’t mean Stein has failed. It means it takes time to build a program and the schedule is insane.
well the standards of UK basketball and UK football are massively different but you already know thatTakes time to build a program, just sounds strange on here for some reason![]()
Last year IU ranked 12th in NIL spending at 13.2 mil. Uk ranked 18th at 11.2 mil, see link below. This would lead you to believe that UK could be competitive. However, we are hearing that some teams are spending 40 mil. If that is true, it will be dificult for UK to compete in that environnent. Only a handful of teams will be'able to spend that kind of money. The schedule will always be “insane” when you’re are trying to win big!
I genuinely hope that no one actually believes that any particular coach or coaching style/ philosophy is going to overcome having the money, to produce the rosters necessary to win big!
You could take Stein, and swap him with whatever coach you want, and they are going to have similar results based on the available personnel, and vice versa…
Simply put, those that have the money to build teams, will continue to be the teams that win big, and there’s no other way to win big.
Even in the pros the salary caps apply only to direct compensation. NIL deals are negotiated individually by player with business. As long as schools can solicit money from willing donors, pool that money or have their apparel companies pay these players, a salary cap will not change anything. If the NFL and the NBA function well with a salary cap the NCAA can also function with a salary cap.
Hell yeah brother. Hope you have an amazing time and we have an awesome year. Even if the wins don’t come, us just looking like we know what the hell we are doing would be a hell of a starting point.Got my season tickets. Parking pass arrived last week.
