I'm torn on Stefanski but agree about an OCPlease let it be an offensive coach. I'd be ok with Stefanski to be honest. He took the freaking Browns to the playoffs twice in the past 5 years despite the compete incompetence by ownership. The roster is old and it's going to be a rebuild. Might as well have a dude that has experience dealing with shịt rosters.
Tomlin Derangment Syndrome is real. Looking for a ban again douchenoggle?Summing up Tomlin in 2 words.....
Kenny Pickett.
Colbert was really bad his last 7 years as GM. 2016-2022. Those should be the main 30+ players on the team at this point.Think I read that only five of Tomlin’s 17 first round picks signed second contracts and only 8% of all picks under Tomlin signed second contracts. Oof.

2016 - artie burns in rd 1? hargrove was the best pick that year
2017 - 4 good picks with Watt, Juju, Sutton, Conner but Juju and Conner didnt stick around/weren't offered
2018 - another bad one, Rudolph and Chuks only decent ones. Edmunds and Washington 1/2nd.
2019 - Dionte JOhnson good in rd 2, but Bush was garbage as with the rest of them
2020 - 1st for Minkah, Claypoole traded for JPJ and then Highsmith in 3. Overall a decent draft due to the trades
2021 - Harris was just avg, Muth is solid but not used enough, Green was thought to be the starting C of the future, terrible.
2022 - Pickett and Pickens, Heyward and Austin are on the team but not regulars.
Total of about 15 guys from those drafts still on the roster, thats a terrible %
Trai was one of 21 players on both the 2005 and 2008 Superbowl winning rosters. He was also on the 2010 team that lost to the Packers in the SB. Not just some jabroni on a message board that has a weird fetish for Tomlin.Good post
Watch yourself or you will be referred to Tom as being a stalker and having been tossed off numerous PSU boards! I agree but don't forget that Rooney is in on all the picks as well. He's got a touch of Jerry Jones in his system. Not full on Jerry, but it's in there.Colbert was really bad his last 7 years as GM. 2016-2022. Those should be the main 30+ players on the team at this point.

Was Tomlinson drafting the players?A lot of that is on Tomlin who had a lot of sway when it came to roster management (hence, the expensive/aging D).
Other teams were able to find QBs mid to late in the 1st round or in later rounds.
Otoh, Tomlin was the one who brought in Trubisky, Pickett, Wilson, Fields and Rodgers.
Even if Tomlin had a promising, young QB, do you really think his picks for OCs would have done a good job in developing such a QB?
Especially behind an O-line that still really hasn't been fixed.
While there are similarities btwn Tomlin and Franklin, his doppelganger in the college ranks is Fitzgerald.
I didn’t realize Tomlin was also serving as the GM and deciding who to draft all these years. Geez.Pickett was the worst of the worst. What was BGM doing or thinking?

From what I've heard, yes that was the case. He has always had some say in the picks, but yeah he really wanted tiny hands for some reasonPickett was 100%Franklin.
Weird fetish….wait and see what happens with this moron if the Rooney’s hire Brian Flores!Trai was one of 21 players on both the 2005 and 2008 Superbowl winning rosters. Someone should have reminded Watt he's never won a playoff game in his career so this can only help. The players were all in on Mike. Interesting moment after Tomlin's farewell speech...
When Tomlin was done, every player in the room rose for a standing ovation. Tomlin tipped his cap and moved toward the door, where an impromptu receiving line formed, every player exchanging words and hugs with their now-former coach.
The Steelers players were simply showing their appreciation for someone who always had their backs. They know it’s a business, they see teammates get cut every day. I’m sure there of plenty of Steelers players who are happy with the change, they loved Tomlin but knew it was his time to leave. Feeling this way in no way diminishes their gratitude for being part of a team with him, having him as their coach.Someone should have reminded Watt he's never won a playoff game in his career so this can only help.
Nothing wrong with them caring about Tomlin but anyone not comprehending this was necessary for everyone involved needs to reevaluate things.

Remember the ending of the NYPD cop show Barney Miller? All the detectives loved Barney but needed him to move on, told him so straight out.
I caught a snippet of Rooney talking to the media yesterday. "Our goal every year is to win championships" or some useless phrase. Yeah could have fooled me. What was it after 7 straight playoff losses and a rudderless ship with no QB strategy that you didn't comprehend? You don't win championships with hope you win them with strong leadership starting with the owner and a competent innovative management and coaching staff. I contend the Steelers had incompetence for at least the last 7-8 years. This includes Rooney III or IV or whatever one has been in charge during this run of failure and mediocrity.
All fair but that wasn't the full reaction and we've seen countless comments from players that aren't happy with a move that was necessaryThe Steelers players were simply showing their appreciation for someone who always had their backs. This happens every time a popular coach loses his job. I’m sure the Baltimore players gave Harbaugh a similar send-off.All fair but that wasn't the full reaction and we've seen countless comments from players that aren't happy with a move that was necessary
See the comment by Trai Essex--they can support him while acknowledging it was time
I mean, Lamar hasn't even comment on it. Henry and Stanley definitely weren't crying over Harbaugh being fired. This happens every time a popular coach loses his job. I’m sure the Baltimore players gave Harbaugh a similar send-off.
Be that as it may, in a week nobody outside the team will be remembering who said what. And nobody outside the team will care.Players trying to defend him is absurd at this point.

He reported you, Knicks, and myself to Tom! Hilarious… saying we have been tossed of numerous boards… he really is a psycho
I can just see him sitting at home in his soiled undies, yelling at his computer right nowHe reported you, Knicks, and myself to Tom! Hilarious… saying we have been tossed of numerous boards… he really is a psycho
In his 18 hours a day on the computer… starts at 4-5am… at least 2 PSU sites, the Pitt board, Facebook and Reddit… his entire life is spent bitching on social media…if I ever make it to 80 I will never let my life turn into this.,I can just see him sitting at home in his soiled undies, yelling at his computer right now
Definitely no way to live life. Imagine the years he's wasted doing nothing but that lol. No wonder he doesn't want to live in realityIn his 18 hours a day on the computer… starts at 4-5am… at least 2 PSU sites, the Pitt board, Facebook and Reddit… his entire life is spent bitching on social media…if I ever make it to 80 I will never let my life turn into this.,
So when they hire Saleh, you're gonna be ok, right? After listening to BGM for 20 years, I'm sure he picked up on the art of the useless platitude
