Sometimes after a close loss like last night you kind of just mope or drag through the next day. Don't feel that at all. I can see this team winning three out of the next four and going to a good bowl game. Will be a difficult task this coming Saturday, but I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska came out with a win.

Side note to last nights game, thought the sportsmanship between both teams was outstanding as I can't recall seeing any trash talking or after play antics. Players on both sides were always extending hands and pulling their opposition up. It was a game played by two teams that respect each other, well done, well done!

Not me, I'm moping and dragging and suffering the classic grief symptoms. Right now I am in the "what if" stage, as in what if Tommy had put just a little less on the long pass to Riley in regulation and he had sailed into the EZ Winking

But I did notice the excellent sportsmanship. Probably flows down from both head men.

I hear you on the grief symptoms, I think a lot of fans feel that way after a loss. Just seems different this time to me. Not a moral victory kind of way, more like this team is going to finish strong way. Time will tell.

Last night sucked. But have to feel good about where the program is at...tough task next weekend but hopefully we take care of business down the stretch. This recruiting class has a chance to be very good.

Wish I could say the same. Last night was heartbreaking. I love this team and this staff, but that hurt.

How can you say the program is in a good place, with all of the horrible coaching inefficiencies?

How can you be optimistic about the future with Parella on the DLINE? I mean according to you...the expert(lol), he's just cashing checks right?

How can you both ( 4.6.3. & huskerbaseball13) come in here and sabotage this thread? This is an outrage and I demand you both retract your comments. Only I can bag on the coaches in this thread!!!

What was heart breaking and disappointing is the way we finished. Not trying to win in regulation to get in position with a game winning FG and the play calling in OVT.

We need to get this monkey off our back and beat a top 10 team, but I do love the direction Riley staff is taking this program looking forward to a QB that fits their system better nothing against TA but I have had enough of his inconstancy.

Oh yeah. He has to be just a check casher. He joined the worst staff in cfb history. He needed to have National Title-level production immediately. If not he should be ripped apart from day 1 by our awesome, super-intelligent fanbase.
Or maybe....... juuuuusssssttttt maybe you are too slow to pick up on what just about everyone else is figuring out, that I am making fun of "fans" like you going after the rest of the staff.

I'm upbeat in some ways. Regardless of losing the game, I think we proved we belong and it also makes me excited for the future, when depth at certain positions should (hopefully) not be as big of an issue. However, because of this "loss", we either have to beat a very good Ohio State team, on the road, next week, or hope Wisconsin trips up again. We still control our destiny, but a win last night would have put us firmly in control.

Todd Blackledge talked about Nebraska proving that they are worthy of a top ten ranking towards the end of the game, he seemed genuinely impressed by the Huskers last night.

It's ok man. I figured since you were the smartest guy in the room (as proven how you are always right, and every coach is always wrong), that you would have figured that out by now.
Or could it be that you have no clue, and are not perfect and right all the time? (Gasp, the horror!!!!)

This keeps getting better and better. I understand you are embarrassed. Being wrong is hard for someone who has been perfect up until now.
Come on buddy! We can get through this together! As someone who is not perfect like yourself, I have experience to help you through this!

Oh not, I got the whole act. And I used it to get under your skin. Which, of course is easy to do. And then you go into your whole tough guy routine....which for most, provides this board with some comic relief. So thank you for that.

Yeah. That's why you said it multiple times yesterday, instead of answering simple direct questions.
I am sure it's because you "got the act" and were just playing along while flying off the handle.
That's totally believable. So once again, everyone should know that hb13 has never been wrong.
Should I make a new thread to make sure everyone knows that fact?

Nah. I was literally laughing at you (along with multiple posters on this site via text message). All while you continued to get threads locked. This. Is. So. Awesome.
Keep replying though, because you are obviously proving you are right, and in no way continue to throw out false claims that are digging a deeper hole.

Do I need to start that new thread to let everyone know that you actually knew what was happening? It seems important to you that people know that.

I was equally impressed which doesn't mean squato_O but I wasn't depressed or disappointed as it was a draw between to very good teams that are battered and bruised. Tanner was a VERY big loss.:(

To let people know I got under your skin? No, I don't need that. I'm well aware by your responses. What I find hilarious is that I'm all knowing because I don't agree with everything Miles, Riley, Erstad has done. Yet, you were the all time Pelini, Anderson, Sadler hater. Got it.

Yes. You got under my skin. You are totally right once again. That's why I kept letting you fly off the handle, while messages kept flying with people laughing their asses off about it. You got me, you totally had me so flustered, and continue to do so.
So, do you need me to make that thread or not?

Tell Kaz I said Hi on your text messages! Sparky in the group as well? If so, tell him ole HB13 says what's up! You do seem flustered...wasn't my intention but definitely got under your skin. Again, your responses only confirm this. By all means, make the thread. You need your E buddies to stroke that fragile ego.

I think we will be surprised next year how good TA really was when we're in the rebuilding phase with a young QB. Langs puts TA in situations to make big plays, albeit not always to his strengths, but that's just this coaching staffs approach. That's not a knock on Langs, and we may lose close games like this, but he's gonna let the kids play and let the chips fall where they may.

Ok. I am glad we got this cleared up. I will make sure to set everyone straight in the future.
In all seriousness, have you ever thought about doing a real-time internet broadcast during games? I really do think that it would be pretty popular. In no time flat you could be making serious coin as either a consultant, or coordinator.
