Last week was almost too easy. I gave you Lake Forest over Libertyville, that wasn't enough. You wanted a pick from the "Dark Side"...... I gave you LT over Glenbard West. I must admit, I'm on a roll. This week I'm going to kill 2 birds with 1 stone, with an upset of a Dark Side team. This weeks upset is ............... The unranked , 4-1 Warriors of McHenry over the DSR #6 ranked and undefeated Wolves of Prairie Ridge. McHenry scores LOTS OF POINTS, averaging 36 per game this season. The question is, can McHenry score on PR on their home field? I think they will. It's going to be a high scoring one tonight. Final score ........McHenry 35 - Prairie Ridge 28. That's my upset for this week. What are your thoughts, and who is your upset?

NN over NV

And in an unexpected result (not sure it can be called an upset), I predict Feeto will enjoy his fan experience at Rice tonight.

If you're right this week I'm buying whatever your selling. Don't see it with Samson the beast leading the way for PR.

Just based off of possible field conditions I'd look hard at Oswego over Oswego East....East is a grass field which will be mud by 2-3rd series of sophomore game so...Panthers are all run oriented/smashmouth and a ton on defense...

Rumor is there will be a recliner for feeto
I will not need a recliner, I'll be in the top row, on the 50. However........I will consider the offer to watch from the hot-tub on the deck of the house in the south end zone.

Fremd over Palatine...I think Lou Sponsel has his boys fired up after a tough loss to Barrington.

How much of an upset is that? Both teams are 5-0. Huge rivalry, sold out stadium. I'm thinking that is close to a pickem,

Rumor also has it the McAuley nuns have heard of Feeto's displeasure with Rice and are looking to extend him some hospitality.
Parking will be at a premium. MacAuley is hosting big volleyball tournament tonight as well.

Doubtful...you have nooo idea how bad Palatine wants this one after last year's debacle. Last year Palatine lost by 2 to Stevenson week 1 when they were the defending 8A champs; lost by 2 to Loyola in week 13 and the Ramblers went on the win 8A the following week; and lost to Fremd by 30 points midseason.

Plus, with the exception of 2011(which PHS won at Fremd), the home team has won every game this decade and it's Palatine's homecoming.

Spoke with Lou last night. I can see it in his eyes. Go Vikings!

My upset is Feeto has too much fun at the Gilhooleys alumni tailgate and fails to make it over to the game.

Tonight???? I'm already here. Need to show up early to guarantee a seat.
Feeto - my mom is out of town so you can park in her spot behind school where the teachers park as you walk to the entrance gate. Plus if you ask for Barko I will make sure he gets you a chocolate chip cookie from the cafeteria - granted they're not as good as ones from 1985 when I was there but they're still pretty good and I know a bunch of Rice grads on the board will attest to them

Topiary,

Damn BR has teachers still working into their 80's? No wonder why they can give away all those full rides...with everyone on social security and Medicare the expenses must be next to nothin'.

Sorry I couldn't help myself.

MC 31 BR 30 !!!!

20% chance of that happening but I'm only 50% sure of my pick. Who plays better in the rain?

Is the game on TV? The Cube?

MC put the ball on the turf a few times against LA. That killed some good drives.

Anyone can beat anyone on any given nite in the Blue. No one gave Rita a chance last week. So Rice will have to bring its A game to defend its turf. However the wet conditions might cause some of the splinters to lay down on the old wooden stands and not cause Feeto any issues tonite (except hearing A HOST OF CRUSADERS and the Irish singer version of Hail Our Crusader Team

Well that would be quite the upset. Assuming McHenry learned something from the beating that CG gave them in Week 2. This will be their second look at the dreaded triple. Sampson is slippery and not afraid to toss the ball when the pressure is on. PR's D isn't quite as stout as CG. This will be a defense game and turn-overs could generate an upset.

Wind plays more havoc on offenses then a light, normal rain. Downpours are another story. But tonight's winds will be increasing throughout the game. 14mph to 25mph from NNE. If MC can have a couple classic Caravan quarter long drives when BR has the wind at their back, things could get interesting. No dog in this fight. Best of luck to both teams.

McHenry has a good record, but PR and CG are clearly in a different league than the rest of the FVC. Not surprised this is a blowout. Should be interesting if these two meet in the playoffs.

Yeah, not so much. They tried really hard, but the Pirates were just the better team ..even giving away the ball three times on unforced turnovers. Palatine and Barrington on a collision course for week eight with 7-0 vs 7-0.

This is the 12th year of OWE's existence as a school. In a stunning development, undefeated Oswego defeated previously undefeated OWE 21-3. This marks Oswego's 12th straight win in the series.
