I'm confident going into this game just like I was going into the LSU game. But also like the LSU game, the only thing that would surprise me is if this game isn't very close. I get the sense that this is going to be a hard-fought game into the fourth quarter and may come down to the last possession.

That being said we need to make our home field advantage significant. Two weeks ago we saw a team go into Death Valley and take the LSU crowd out of the game. We need to do our part to be a factor the entire game. The game starts at 11:00, so it will take a little extra effort to make sure we are engaged from the kickoff.

Texas A&M will face somewhere between fifteen and twenty third and fourth down conversion attempts. That means you need to be on your feet and yelling for AT LEAST fifteen to twenty plays. If you can't do that, please try to find someone that will take your ticket and do it for you.

Texas A&M has one of the best offensive tackles in the country in Cedric Ogbuehi. We need to do our part so that he and the rest of the A&M offensive line can't hear the snap count. That will give Smith, Jones & Co. a huge advantage. On the other hand, if we aren't loud, we forfeit a large aspect of our home field advantage. And we only get four home SEC games.

I know it sounds pretty basic, but I often find myself one of only a few in my immediate vicinity yelling, even on defensive third downs. I was in College Station last year and witnessed the game from a couple different sections. Aggie fans don't sit down, whether they're on offense or defense. If the opposing center is over the ball, they are yelling. If our team faces that on the road, I certainly want our SEC opponents to face that in Starkville.

Plus, in my experience, the victory tastes better when you're hoarse the next day.

Great post! I have seen where some people hope it rains! How damn stupid! Rain MAY slow them down but it would also take the home field crowd out.

First off, it's going to be an epic day weather wise! Come, be proud and be loud. Somebody had to play the 11:00 game, so what!

What more could we want? A chance to play the best team in the country in front of game day? No thanks!

I like our position and schedule and I love this team!

The stadium was live for most of the Texas A&M game, but we were definitely a factor on the twenty third/fourth downs A&M faced. Best atmosphere I've ever witnessed at Mississippi State.

We need to do it again. Auburn is arguably the best team in the country, and playing at home, we've been given a great opportunity to beat them.

Hopefully, our defense can force 'get off the field' situations as well as they did vs. A&M. When they do, we need to get on our feet and yell like we did last Saturday. I'm guessing fifteen or sixteen plays.
