I’m his defense, they had a ton of players opt out for this game, and they’re playing a top 15 team. But still, they look terrible.
Hate to see it.
We need to hire an OC who studies his offense closely and runs the opposite.
Starting QB opted out.
Backup QB arrested for child pornography and justly kicked off team.
Not many teams could start their 3rd stringer and have much success.

Thank goodness this board doesn't get to pick our coaches. Napier is probly wishing he had stayed put instead of chasing that payday. You can makes excuses for him but does that count for the whole year ? This ain't the first game they sucked in this year.
They were 6-6. It's not just this game with the opt outs. Never got the Napier love.
Me either! I'm so happy he didn't want us!!!! I didn't want him. He knew he wouldn't be successful at State and he was right.
He better get in the portal and get some players. They won't put up with 6 and 6 there for very long. Wonder how many wish they had kept Dan ?

I know the general consensus is Napier turned us down. Of course I could be wrong, the story I was told was Cohen never made an attempt to get him.
Has he hired any successful coaches other than Vic Shaefer? Howland was basically handed to us and he couldn't even deliver.
Napier is trying to grow up to be Dan Mullen. He is Dan Mullen lite.

Well, if the rest of the SEC teams plan to "honor" Coach Leach by playing like that, I'd just as soon they not. Our guys will do just fine honoring him.
Mullen was fired for being Mullen. I think UF thought they could attract a better coach but reality bit them in the ***.

He didn’t technically turn us down. We made some advances, but he never really was interested. That doesn’t mean we’d have hired him, though. My point was that he thought he was above State.
Mullen did too, of course. But at least he had the balls to take on the challenge.

Y’all are overlooking the fact that the common denominator in the past 4-5 Florida coaching failures is Florida. It’s where once successful coaches go to ruin their careers.
They scored 3 points against a PAC 12 team. At the end of the game to keep some meaningless game scoring streak alive…
