WOW!!! Nasty, nasty bunch there at King William. Nobody does that to Lafayette. Probably the most impressive 2A win of the season for any 2A team in VA this year up until this point.

Lafayette’s defense has had its issues this year against weak teams with injuries and transfers this year. When I saw 7 sitting on the bench before the game with our starting nose guard now out I didn’t have a good feeling. The Kw Rb and QB ran wild spinning and weaving for huge chunks of gains. Every possession by Kw except one went for a TD, no cheap ones : all big plays. I don’t know the total yards for KW but probably over 600. Most points scored against Lafayette, ever. KW will be there in the final.

Great game last night! Lafayette was very well coached and has size and speed. I wasn’t sure if KW had the fire power to compete let alone win! Both programs will make a deep post season run.

#1 Claiborne had 258 yards rushing and 4 TDs rushing and 1 receiving. #10 Robinson had 255 yards and 2 TDs rushing, plus 86 yards passing and 2 TDS.

Thanks, my thoughts driving home was about 600 was about right. Best of luck to KW. Great field, stands and people. Heard that KW is getting close to enrollment to class 3. Then you can join the Bay Rivers (replace Bruton ) and drive us nuts every year!!
