Really tight-knit up in here, in this neck of the woods. I have family in Goochland and Powhatan.

Powhatan could have simply tied the game and sent it to 3OT, but elected to go for 2 and the win. Ballsy. They'll be scary next season.

Varina is carrying around a magic horseshoe!
Yep the funny thing about it they moved from division 5 to division 4 and they beat all three division 5 teams they played, penalties are killing them they left at least 21 points on the field last night. They will play King George which is undefeated Friday night that's only given up 48 points in 10 games

Heard Varina is missing a quite a few players due to injuries from the last two games.

Yep they had injuries in the highland springs game and the Powhatan game. Hopefully they can be ready by Friday when they play King George but if not it's time for the backups to step up to the plate. Varina's last three games were decided by one point two wins by 1 point and one loss by one point. They have the fire power to score. If they can correct the center snapping the ball over the quarterback's head or him reaching for the ball it really throws the timing off of the play, cut down on the penalties and play hard they shouldn't have any problem Friday, another thought Powhatan was a whole lot better than I thought they were.

you were sleeping on POW
watch next year for another jump
Coach Henderson is doing a great job with that program. I saw them in the Spring and they were good, they got better this season and I have doubt, as you elude to that they will be making another jump next year. That said, they do lose a stud running back in Mitchell Johnson and studs on defense.

The King George game was a like closer than the 21 to 7 win. King George scored two touchdowns with four minutes left in the game
