Yeah he did. But the dude hadn’t even kicked a field goal all year. They barely even knew how to line up. The holder even had the wrong leg down before he switched at the last second. Call it what ya want. I would have said the same thing if it were your team getting beat that way for the record.

Trust me I hope Murphy fans never say or sing those words to Tarboro or any other great team they might see in the playoffs or the title game one day. Last time Murphy fans told an exceptionally great team like Tarboro that they were fixing to learn about some “mountain football” was in 2005. Thomasville then proceeded to beat Murphy 41-0. Hopefully this new article doesn’t come back to bite us.

It’s more about Jimmies and Joes this year though. Tarboro is awesome pretty much all the time, but for y’all to single out this Tarboro team as maybe your best ever….well…that speaks for itself. I mean this Murphy team is very good, but nobody is calling it anything close to Murphy’s best ever. It’s a shame too for Murphy if this is Tarboro’s best team, because I believe this Murphy team would be good enough to play with and maybe even beat a lot of your other good teams of the past. Maybe they can pull a miracle? We will see Saturday.

I don’t think it’s our best ever. I think that would be crazy for anybody to say when you look at the the great teams Tarboro has had. I would rank ‘17, ‘18, and probably last year over them in just recent year teams. I’m also pretty sure Tarboro has some injuries to some key people that may affect the game.

but don’t get me wrong this Tarboro team is extremely good and they will pour it on if the other team isn’t ready. I honestly just expected yalls posters to be a little more confident this week.

It’s a good team, I wouldn’t say it’s as good as some of our best teams, but this team has played one of the more difficult schedules versus some of our other teams.

I hope 71 is ready to go, will make a huge difference if he's not. Wanted to share what he told me after the CSOD game. I was giving him some atta boys for driving his man 20 yards down the field. He said "The bad thing is, it's a long way back to the huddle." Great player and witty. 😀

Unrelated to this game but the lights just went out at Keean stadium in the 8a championship game. Hopefully this doesn't happen Saturday

I also said that they had a good defense and probably the 3rd best in the 2A West. How is that discrediting them?

Not even sure why you're in this conversation to begin with. Let's just drop it.

From the team picture at practice today looks like 8 is still on crutches. Hate it for that young man. He’s been a great player for Tarboro. Tarboro will miss him tomorrow if he’s not playing.

If I am not mistaken, I saw the other day that he’s the leading tackler. Three year starter, if he doesn’t play will be a big loss for the Vikings

tarboro will win by 3+ tds im positive murphy defense of line isnt better than havelocks and they beat havelock 35-7 even with bispham who had 81 solo tackles 41 of those being for a loss and 16.5 sacks for the season playing dt/de for the season and they also beat hunt who has a pretty good defense as well 34-17

It’s gameday. You heard it here first, this game will be lopsided from the kickoff. Great season for Murphy, but Tarboro will run away with this one. 42-6 Vikings

I googled how many state championship has both of these teams has in football. It stated both has 10. Does that sound about right
