I don't understand the mentality of so many in this board. Which is more important? Our success or their failure? In a sport that most people just keep up with casually to get them from Basketball to football. I'm excited about our CWS. If we dropped baseball, I'd be okay. As long as we both plai it, I want to be better than them. But damn, what ever happened to friendly rivalries? Y'all will soon see how USM acts when they get to play with the big boys in football. Hint: it's the way most of y'all act now.

Seriously? You would be OK dropping the sport that we have had the most success and positive tradition in?
Maybe if you paid attention, you would notice that every time Ole Miss wins in anything over us, we get some of their posters rubbing it in our faces. Shmuley is just giving it right back to them. If we're not going to ban them for being ********, the least we can do is act like ******** ourselves.

I attended ECCC and MSU Meridian. I'm a proud alum that is proud of what State has done for Meridian. When I went to my first Bulldog football games, Dave Marler was still I. HS. I've seen very heated rivalry with Oke Miss and with USM. The USM rivalry was unhealthy in the end and I think we should ignore them and let them die slowly. These younger Bulldog fans are making the eggbowl/OM rivalry unhealthy. Good natured ribbing and jawing is one thing. Some of you are ******* crazy. You just don't know how to act. Sure there are OZm fans just like you. I don't care for them and I don't care for you. When the next person dies in Iraq or Afghanistan or Boston... None if this **** is important. So why is it important today?

There never were friendly rivalries. THey weren't rivalries in the first place. And if you've posted 47 times and read half that many posts you know damn well the mentality of this board. Our success is first and their failure is pretty damn sweet too. It is what it is. It exists in EVERY rivalry. You aren't excited about a damn thing if you are ok with dropping baseball. USM WILL NEVER PLAY WITH ANY BIG BOYS. They will play well against them as they always have. Most that their fan base can expect. Now go find some ******** british sport to play polite with opposing fans. This aint it pal.
I'm talking about their fans. The ******** on this board don't come close to what Hattiesburg offers. There aren't many but they are 80% ********. I'm not worried about their team. In any 6-6 season one the wins could be Southern.

I just don't care about baseball past the Babe Ruth league. I do have ADD, so that might be part of it. I've been to a few ( like 4) games at DN. I've been to many FB games but only bought Season tickets the three FB seasons I was at Meridian Branch.

Smack talk is different from hatred (and slander, a little bit of that here on occasion, IMHO.) I feel the same way away mean spirited political and religious comments. Doesn't make me a bad bulldog.
