Oh, He seldom acts like one.
Might be the Disney Factor.
I heard it on the Clay and Buck show. Clay has known him for 20+ years and he said he wasn't aware of Paul's political leanings. He did mention a story how Finebaum told him Disney nixed an interview he had lined up with Trump in 2019 that bothered him.

Does Finebaum even live in Alabama anymore? I guess that's not really relevant for the Senate these days, but still.

I was about to post that everyone in Alabama hates Finebaum....but that call in show clearly resonates with the trailer park crowd. I certainly think he has more sense than Tuberville.

Finebaum's show was alright on radio, but it is complete garbage on the SEC Network. You gotta think the consumers of the SEC Network will be the winner if Finebaum leaves.
Disagree. He probably brings a lot of ad $$ for a time slot where you don't make much.

I have tried to listen to Finebaum a handful of times and it never works. I must be doing something wrong. I do give him credit for building a brand and having a nice run. I guess I'm not Alabama enough to understand the attraction.

He was in Charlotte but I seem to recall reading somewhere that he had moved back to Alabama a few months ago.

He is Jerry Springer and attracts low hanging fruit. He is popular on tv in the south because a lot of people who watch football are really dumb and enjoy the Ironman and Legend rants. It’s unfortunate that a show that stupid gets ratings because the SEC network puts it on for 3 prime hours a day ever weekday.

Yes, it does indeed. He'll probably win the Senate seat, based on the demographic in most of the state.

He could put Legend on his advisory staff.
I almost feel bad for callers like Legend that don’t realize how stupid Paul knows they are and is playing a part in egging that whole show on. They legitimately think he is their buddy. It’s sad how brain dead that show is and perpetuates the stupidity of the entire population.

What I laugh at, and don't find amusing, is the bickering between the callers. Total BS.
That's why I only watch his show, during sports periods that I'm interested in. His show, is the platform for SEC sports info.
He is just a side show.

It is like 15 year old freshman high school girl drama. Any time I have ever listened to it I get second hand embarrassment and have to change the channel.

Better yet is the new "zooming with Paul" addition. Bad enough you put your picture up there but how big of a DB do you have to be to do that? Looks like that nut case from Boulder actually went out and bought a professional mic for his hits with Finebaum.

To be fair, whatever his leanings are, running as a Republican is the only way he can get elected in Alabama.

So a lifelong Democrat running as a Republican…..where have I seen that before?

Not sure I'd be comfortable with him. Doesn't come across as a strong conservative as required by the red state south. Need to hear a lot more on his true beliefs and positions. Hope we don't crap away a Senate seat with him vs a moderate Democrat. We already have lost 2 seats forever in Georgia.

First time I saw this thread I was like "Oh come on", because yes most of you are right, no one likes him. However, while scrolling X, I saw a snippet of an interview with him by Clay Travis. He stated to Clay that the assassination of Charlie Kirk deeply affected him. He spoke to Tim Tebow about Charlie at length and that inspired him. I gotta say, he at least has my interest now.

Like it or not, Democrats, the public perception amongst conservatives and moderates (which I classify myself as) is that the Democrats are a party of violence that only likes free speech they agree with. If y'all ever want to be taken seriously again by more than just other democrats, you may want to take after Fetterman and be seen as people with common sense and quit taking ridiculous stands on common sense issues like trans in women's sports.

the majority of democrats are sane. Just like the majority of republicans. Unfortunately the media that caters to both sides loves to paint the side they disagree with as being clinically insane.

Thats why you should be independent. No one tries to paint us as anything

If you read his comments about CK and how it affected him, he seems like he was deeply affected and it caused him to question what he was doing and what it all meant. Maybe that's an act. Hard to know for certain. But I do think the assassination is going to have ripple effects and this may be one of the first.
