Over the last decade:
No university in the country has spent more on "football facilities"
No university in the country - obviously

- has spent more on their football stadium
No university in the country - obviously

- has spent more on a football coaching staff or administration
And, to borrow a phrase - I get it

, that (nearly) no one cares, and very few even know, about things like this, (and only care about "how many games did we win?") but:
The academic performance of the football program dropped to dragging bottom in the Big Ten in the NCAA metrics (I know - or at least IMHO - the NCAA metrics are laughable. But those are the standards set by the NCAA)
We have two (now former) players awaiting trial for rape of co-eds (Yes, those have yet to be fully adjudicated, and everyone knows that folks are entitled to proper due process)
PSU just had to pay a $4.5 million civil judgement for actions catalyzed by allegations of the football coach interfering with medical decisions
Legal kerfluffles regarding "sexual harassment" based hazing in the football program
It is what it is.
And, FWIW, it will all be A-OK (with most people) if PSU can win their next 3 games.
