I would not say great because what has he done to be great? He made the NCAA tournament for the first time in his coaching career last year. I might say good coach, but he has to win something to be in the great conversation.
This definitely starts with Coach Pope. We did not just get beat by a bucket or two. We were ran out of the gym for most of this game! Absolutely this falls on Coach Pope. He was given the money and resources and this is what he came up with. He needs to learn how to coach defense. That is the most surprising thing after playing for Pitino.

That makes zero sense. That roster wasn’t that talented. That roster also cost more than almost any in the country. Neither are compliments.
I agree with this. We still can’t stop the ball. So either the guys we went and got aren’t as good defensively as he hoped or his defensive concepts need help. I’m going with his concepts because it was the same last year except Butler was so good he hid a lot of issues, but overall the team is more solid this year. I’d like to see him use some more zones honestly. His man to man isn’t very strong.
He needs to play Jasper a lot. We need his offense and for him to be better at the end of the year. I agree Moreno needs lots of minutes.
Yeah they are very good. This was a tough game. Let’s see how we respond to our other tough games coming up. Then we have JQ coming back later before we have a full picture. People around here jump off the cliff every game. They give no time to actually see how a team comes out. The turning on players really ticks me off. Why should any players consider returning when they get dragged if they don’t preform 100% perfect every game.
Intensity wasn't there. I dunno if the answer is to run the guys until they regret being born or have them do wall sits until they capitulate and get rebuilt like basic training, but the effort tonight wasn't acceptable. Louisville rose to the challenge and we didn't.
They wanted to be paid pros so have to take what comes with it.
