First Official Day for Practice

Since the first day of practice is Friday, August 1, what teams will start on that Friday, and which teams will wait until Monday?

Does Louisa still have their first practice at midnight on the first day?

Just tradition. It’s almost a party atmosphere. Parents and other supporters come out and they have food afterwards. The practice was more of a token thing most years, although, in the Coach Fischer years, he never took ANY practice lightly.

How do the Trojans look this year?

Ok. I was thinking that’s what it was about. A festive way to kick off the season. My Trojans are looking to continue their winning ways. Run game and OL/DL still solid. Our DB’s took a little hit but I’m sure they will fill those spots. I hoping they’ve developed some sort of a passing game. Last years jv had an ok passing game. Hoping that can move up to varsity with them. Since King & Queen won’t have a team and Jamestown not on the schedule this year, looking forward to see who they picked up to fill those spots. I’m glad King William is back on the schedule. With Rappahannock returning most of their team and Riverheads back in 1A, it will make getting back to Salem challenging.
