Obviously he should be terminated ASAP but just want to see if anyone will reply saying he should be the coach on National Signing Day.

This whole Flood supporter thing is over blown. The closest thing I have seen is there are people who understand how inept the administration is and they either won't fire him or will and hire someone just as cheap and inexperienced to be in the position. It's the RU way until proven otherwise.

Kyle Flood is not a good coach and never was. Unfortunately, he fits in nicely with the administrations goals. This may be changing, and I hope it does.

To say there are Flood supporters who thinks he is a good coach not looking at the bigger picture around him? No. Never see that.

Trust me, there are people here that make excuses for Flood and think he's the right coach for us. They especially like posting after we beat bad teams and securing commitments from 2 star underrated hidden gems that will lead us to the B1G championship. They have no idea how to assess Rutgers situation yet post like they know what they're talking about. I could name about half a dozen of them right now.

Ok...who on here thinks KF is a good coach based on what you've seen, and thinks he's earned and deserves another year.

My views have changed over time but that's not the point. I also really like some of the above posters even tho I don't always agree with them.

That said, this thread is nothing more than an attempt to attack other posters who may not agree with the majority here and a pretty childish one at that if you ask me.

Some people really need to grow up.

I like you too knightfan, but he should do the honorable thing and resign. As low as it is compared to his B1G peers, the coach is stealing his paycheck at this point.

Then that should have been your post my man. I don't necessarily disagree with what you just said but it really come off as more of an attack posters than Flood thread and could have been added to the other 50 Flood threads.

I have been a KF supporter, and at this point without debate there needs to b a change in the leadership of the FB program that has become leaderless and without life. Doesn't matter whether you like KF or not, a cold hard look at the program says a change is necessary and at this point recovery is not possible. At this point things like holding onto the recruiting class and maybe winning a couple of games doesn't matter, put a plan in place, make the change, and move forward.

No one in his position would resign. Including you. It's not his job to fire himself. He has a boss whose job that is. Can she do her job for him not doing his is the real question.

There was one yesterday, whose stated opinion elicited a long diatribe from me on the problems with this program under Flood. But I'm not in the business of calling them out again.

Not a Flood supporter but if he gets fired we will be looking at some really weak coaching options with all the other high paying schools looking for a coach. This is going to be an ugly 2-3 years. Buckle up...

I haven't been pro or anti flood in the past but it is time to replace him. The next issue is if the AD has the $$$ and wherewithal to find a very good replacement.

Does anyone really know what she has the authority to do and not to do under our current administration? Certainly it should be within her power, unless she has been handcuffed with very specific parameters.

There definitely are still a handful of posters who think he's a good coach. It's just hard for them to say anything after the blow outs.

No one said it was easy. We know the parameters. She needs outside money. That's her job.

If her boss simply was saying no to all of this, then her position needs to be eliminated because it's useless paying her to do nothing.

believe they exist...just two weeks ago after Indiana many were trumpeting that win and also giving lists on how the program has got better since he took over. They are scared that firing him will cause recruits to flee. They feel that he is on the cusp of something..of what I don't know

Completely agree but it's going to be an ugly 2-3 years no matter what. May as well role the dice and hope we can mitigate the damage and in the process possibly breathe some life into the program, even if only temporarily.

A new coach = hope.
Continuing with Flood = apathy.

We can't afford to have apathy right now.

The writing was on the wall after PSU. It was darker writing after OSU. Yesterday it was etched in stone. Had hope after last year he was learning and growing. His post game presser answer on changing the QB lost me. That said,

Can't wait for them to come out of the close, maybe Tues-Weds, and tell us why we should "support the coach until the end" LOL!

So you're saying you'd be a better coach than Flood? LOL

He might be a terrible coach, but 99.99% of the people enthusiastically bashing him here on the board couldn't coach a D1 football team to save their lives. So let's not get too carried away here.

Forget about the potential recruits. You fire him the day after the season ends. I don't see RU doing anything before the last game although I could see rumors starting to float shortly before then. Julie better be polishing up that list and getting the parameters of what she can and can't do. The competition for coaching talent will be fierce in December.

100% of the people sitting here couldn't. But that's not the point.

It's possible to speak intelligently about something you can't physically do yourself. We see it in ever other aspect of society. However, when it comes to sports teams people get their knickers in a twist when people critique coaches and players.

For example, I don't think you need to be Lombardi to recognize a serious malfunction in the kicking game. We make 2-3 major mistakes in the kicking game every week.

I can't prepare sushi either, but I can see when there's a giant tape worm rolled up in one.
