CL reported this today - any students on here that have done this? Personally, I think that is awesome.

Lighten up Francis...after four or five years of 7-0 you would be right. But this is a special time so let's all enjoy it while we can. These players have earned it.

Thank you... All of the comparisons to Alabama with our program are getting ridiculous... "Do you think Alabama would act the same way?" 17 no they wouldn't... because it's expected over there. Besides.. a little praise can go a long way to show players just how much the team means to the school and could help them play just that much harder.

We would have gone 8-0 if it weren't for those meddling kids!

it would be awesome if we won the SEC or a NC but just being 7-0..dumb

Giving them a standing ovation now does nothing but give them a big head and would tend to make them complacent.....

You can get that stick up your *** removed now.

It's considered preventative care under the PPACA.* Keeps you from being a miserable deuche.

*that's for my #1 fan

I took this as the students were supporting the players for Bama

It seems to me its like the students are saying the football players are doing well in representing their University and the students are supporting them in their week before the Bama game. Not so much to applaud the 7-0 start.

Yeah, because nobody likes being told they are doing a good job and being appreciated**. Maybe they should just shun them and tell them they have to win the SEC before we talk to them again. What makes you work harder at your job? A boss that tells you to keep up the good work or one that walks through like he doesn't even know your name? Now what would be going over the line is if we have the coeds lined up inside the doorway that recruited CJ Johnson up at the school up north. That might give them the big head...pun intended.

Campus is awesome when the football team is good.

Granted, it's happened very infrequently, but when we were 8-0, it honestly was like everyone on campus was best friends. The Union Hippies, the all night Arch. students, the Greeks, Swalm geeks, and even that weird guy that lived down the hall in your dorm and never came out of his room. Everyone was just in a good mood and in a good party mode. To be a student this week...

Really? It's only the second time EVER dude. I could understand your attitude if you were a USC, BAMA, or Notre Dame fan but come on.

Wizard: Hey dad, I ran that half marathon I've been training for for 6 months! I finished 8th out of 165 people!
Wizzard's dad: Jeesus son. A half marathon? You don't need a pat on the back. Do some damn work and run a whole marathon next time

An 8-0 miracle to be sure.

She was making the western omelettes a little on the heavy side that semester, too.
