[h=4]Football Seating Update - April 17[/h]
As we wrap up week 2 of the football seat selections, the Bulldog Club wanted to share an update on the process and how the schedule will conclude over the next several weeks.

Seat selection appointments started at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8. The schedule is set for 2 members to enter the selection site every 5 minutes. We did not schedule appointments on the Friday of Super Bulldog Weekend or for GoodFriday. On days of home SEC baseball games the last scheduled appointment is at 2:30 p.m. On all the remaining days, the schedule concludes at either 4:30 or 5 p.m.

Starting on Monday, April 28, the schedule picks up pace a little as 3 members will be entering the selection process every 5 minutes. There will be no selections scheduled on May 9 and the last appointment is scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at 3:15 p.m.

Throughout the first 2 weeks, the most commonly asked questions and topics of discussion have been case sensitivity of passwords, the best method of selection and specific selection times.
The passwords are case sensitive in the Seat Selection platform but not in the Dog Tag platform. When the data was uploaded, it was converted to ALL CAPS and this has caused some difficulties in logging in for some people who typically use lower case passwords. If you have not yet attempted to log in or have had problems, please use your Dog Tag password but in ALL CAPS.
Over the next 8 weeks, seat selections will be uploaded back into the Dog Tag system and locations will start to show up in your account when you log in. At this point no seat data has been loaded so if you look in your Dog Tag account you will still see unallocated season tickets, even if you have completed the selection process.

Many have asked if they are better off selecting online or by phone. In reality, neither method is better than the other. The most important factor is your comfort level with a computer. We can see user login history on each account and in many cases those who have indicated a preference to be called will already be logged in when we call. In those cases we typically talk them through the process and they pick online themselves. We also have the option to take over the session and make the selection for them and they can see the seats change colors and populate into their cart for confirmation. Either way is effective and there is no difference in the amount of time required.

You may recall, a few weeks ago, an email was sent out informing members that selection times had been posted in their Dog Tag account. It included a screen capture of a sample account indicating where the information was located. This was a sample account and we have had quite a few calls from people asking why the time in the email differs from the time in the appointment letter they received. Again, this screen capture was a sample and was not indicative of your specific time.

Some notes after 2 weeks of selections:
- The 100 and 200 levels are full. The last person to pick in the 200 level was ranked 1206 and picked Thursday morning at8:40. The last person to pick in the 100 level was ranked 1300 and picked Thursday at 11:20 a.m.
- The last person to pick seats on Thursday was ranked 1428.
- Section 4, which is mid-field on the west side, still has 184 seats available. Sections 3 & 5 have a combined 3855 seats available and the west side lower level as a whole has 8890 seats available.
- Section 20, which is mid-field on the east side, has 1449 seats available.
- There are still seats available in the east side Club Level and in the Scoreboard Club. Those seats can be selected during this process and Bulldog Club pledges can be adjusted if necessary to accommodate any increase in seat premium requirements. Just this morning, someone who was seated in section 305 last year moved 8 seats into the Club Level section 125.
- Gridiron passes are still available and can be purchased from the Bulldog Club for $750 each. The Gridiron is a field level premium experience that anyone in any seat in the stadium can enjoy. For more information, please visit the Bulldog Club website.
The Bulldog Club and Ticket Office staff send out a big thank you to all members and season ticket holders. We look forward to visiting with the rest of you as we finish this process and, most importantly, we are looking forward to seeing all of you in the expanded Davis Wade Stadium on August 30. Hail State!

Looks like someone just committed $34k per annum for the next 5 years. Would love for someone picking today to give an update on the remaining seats in the Scoreboard Club and East Side Club.

Are you tied to the Club Level seats for 5 years?

His yearly price tag will be 14,000 PSL + 2480 season tickets for a grand total of $16,480.

Does anyone think a lot of this information would have been helpful about two weeks ago? Log in help, how many selections per day, what time they stop, which days they are taking off, preferred method of selection, the screen shot confusion......all of that would have been helpful to the fanbase.

My math was bad. $26,480 per year. You're forgetting the $12,500-over-5-years commitment required per seat, and I wasn't thinking about the ticket price. He could drop his seats before 5 years is up, but you still owe the remainder on that $12.5k per.

Explain to me how the east club level works? Is it $1750 per seat per year or a 5 year commitment of some dollar amount to get those seats?

My understanding is that it's just $1750 per seat plus the ticket cost. I believe they dropped the 5-year commitment requirement. I could be wrong, but I have found no mention of it (although I know that used to be required).

this whole thing has been one gigantic cluster and it starts on the communication end.

I'm pretty tech savvy and when I got the email saying my time was set even I thought my time was what the email said. Thankfully I logged into my dog tag and saw a different time than what I had previously marked down. who does that?

not only that, but I'm trying to sit with my parents this year and while we have the same pick time, we both have to pick our own seats apparently. He chose to do it on the phone and I chose online. HOW WILL THAT WORK?

I think this will all get worked out in the end but it has been handled very poorly from the jump.

I have a feeling you're not going to be happy.

Honestly - is there any recourse the university could take if you don't pay the remaining balance?

Sort of.

Ask them if there is still a TTF commitment required per seat.

I thought it was pretty clear... No commitment, $1750 per seat per year. At this point in the game, you'd be a fool to donate into the TTF campaign now that 1300 people have already chosen.

He did ask.... and they answered with a no. There is no other obligation except the $1750 per seat per year requirement. That's what I was told a while back and the BC just repeated the same info to him.

It does suck for the people that committed a couple of years ago to give 12.5K over 5 years.

I totally agree... But I think a few years ago, those were maybe the hardest seats to get. Looking at how things stand so for during reseating, im not sure thats the case. I think realistically, 4 may be available when my number is called. I would have never thought that. I think if you ask people to commit 12.5k over 5 years per seat this year, they may not fill up at all. They dont want to lose money on them because of a steep long term price tag.

He said no long-term commitment, and he's right. You could drop the CL seat after year 1, just not the TTF commitment. But they never really advertised the $12.5k requirement when they introduced it, and you weren't paying it for the privilege of picking early (which required a minimum of $25k), you were paying for the privilege of getting a CL seat.
If they have dropped the requirement, and they still can't sell out the CL, I hope they get message loud and clear about what that says about our fanbase and their price levels.

Depends on the terms.

If you're receiving something in return for your promise to pay (even if you decide you don't want it after 1 or 2 years), you are probably still on the hook for the rest of the CONTRACT price you agreed to.

I really don't know how they set up these "commitments", but if constructed to be contracts, which I imagine they are, they'd have legal recourse.

  2. <S>@</S>mtucker0624 Correct. East side club level seats can now be reserved at the time of your seat selection. No additional donation required.

Crud.

Well, chalk up another ticked off fan to the BC. Unlike some, I won't be taking any drastic action, but that still sucks, particularly since I asked them about this a while back and got a different answer.

I hate that. I've had zero issues with the BDC but from just listening to others, it seems they could improve their communication to the public. I've had BDC questions that i've posted here and Bart or someone with the BDC emailed me in minutes with answers. I never figured out how they tied my BMT SPS persona to Matt Tucker BDC member together. But I thought it was nice of them to email me answers. Like I said, they have been attentive to every question i've ever had.

They are sitting at the computer when they call you. I had them call me in case I was at work and not around the computer. I had just say down and logged in and was about to pick when they called. She asked if I wanted to pick or just let her so I just got her to do it and I told her the seats I wanted and I actually saw her on the screen picking them.

Definitely. I've had times where I've asked them the same question 3 times and got 3 different answers from 3 different people. Anyway, I made a commitment that I will keep, and I'll mentally assuage myself with the knowledge that the money helped land us in the seats we wanted during reseating. Besides...can't stay too mad at the university, or I won't be able to enjoy the 24th annual Birmingham golf tournament on 5/19.

Not sure of the donation amount. But my FNL said he was happy that he was able to secure 12 seats this year.
I have no idea if, or how far he has moved from the original seats. He has been between the 45's on the lower 30's row for 20+ years.
Sounds to me like the reshuffling has generated a lot of donations though.

The process for me has been simple, streamlined and pleasurable.

I got an email from the BDC several weeks in advance of picking my club level seats in the expansion (4 of them). They called me within 5 minutes of the date and time posted in the email.

Yesterday, I got a call at 3:45 which was 5 minutes after my time on the dog tag account for picking my 4 regular seats (not premium). The only reason it was 5 minutes late is b/c i had clicked the online option and completely forgot about it.

Everything they have said to me they have done.

One caveat to all of the above is I called them multiple times before hand to ask questions. If i got answers that were somewhat contradictory, I asked more questions and called again to confirm. I didn't have a problem doing that since I am giving them a decent amount of money. I figure if i'm going to make that type of investment or payment anywhere, i'll do my homework on top of what they are communicating to me.

A+ BDC.

Fellow dogs, I had no problem with the process OR the communication...

from the Bulldog Club. It was apparent from the start that you could join in the Today Tomorrow Forever (TTF) commitment and vastly improve your picking order. Of course, that's a $5 grand per year commitment over five years. My number was 880 before I committed to TTF and I was told my chances at keeping my 200 level seats was dicey. So I chose to do the TTF and I got to pick Apr 9 and kept my 200 seats in Sec 224. It cost me an extra $1350 per year to do it, but hopefully worth it. This process has pissed off a lot of fans, but you can't blame it on lack of communication. If you paid half *** attention, you could have figured it out. Bottom line: give more money, get better seats.

Football Seating Update - April 17
