Search Firm Fees: A couple of notes we saw this morning...the fee paid to <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);">Bill Carr's firm</span></span> for UAB's head coaching search when Garrick McGee was hired was $23,000. Ole Miss paid <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);">Bob Beaudine's firm</span></span> $60,000 in connection with the search that landed Hugh Freeze and Memphis paid Beaudine's firm the same $60,000 for the search that ended with Justin Fuente being hired. Those aren't anywhere near the $250,000 that Colorado State paid to the firm of Spencer Stuart in connection with their search which ended with the hiring of Jim McElwain. That fee is a tough one to understand.
