I hadn't heard about the young man from Honaker until you made the post. I Goggled the incident. Just a horribly tragic accident. I don't know how his parents and family ever move on.
I know Danny, Matt, Will, and the others have been working hard to put together their team previews. Just a few more days and they will start appearing. That should get some football talk going.
On a side note, I hope all of our friends up around Fredericksburg and over toward the NN stayed safe tonight. That has been a couple of rounds of pretty vicious storms.

I with you on both points lol it was crazy hot today. Like 94 here but football is king haha.

Same here I hope they are all doing well. Living that close to the water always brings in bad storms. It's a beautiful area I just don't know if it's for me lol.
Speaking of water, at one time, I considered retiring to the Eastern Shore, but that just wouldn't work out for us. I love the Shore, but I think I would spend all my money coming back across the CBBT to see football on this side of the bay. Beside, I am and always will be a Dinwideidian.
Who do you know that starts practice this Thursday? It shouldn't be very many starting practice before Monday. I think only the teams that have a game on Sept. 18th?

Haha I'm in the same boat my wife and I have been talking about moving. I told her I'm fine with it but I'll be here or there every Friday night watching my MAROONS lol. 10 weeks at least out of every fall on Friday is football haha.
And yeah I think Thursday is only the teams that play the 18th but I think everyone can start at the same time.

Everyone can start Thursday if they want to but the ones that do have to take 2 days off before first scrimmage...but I doubt many do...who will know other than the teams that do it?

KJ Dameron from Essex. 6'2 240 lb junior. 1000 yard rusher last year.
Just a game clip of #24 KJ Dameron against Lancaster. Not 100% but I think he tied or set an Essex single game TD record with 6.

Nice video. Great size and speed. He appears to have a good ability to find running lanes once he gets to the next level of the defense. Tackles too high on defense, though.

Didn't mean it like that fellas I simply didn't know what year he was lol. I've heard a single rumor on him maybe not coming back if he wasn't a Sr. Now that I know he isn't I'll look into that RUMOR a little further.
#4 Tim Johnson will be back this year as well. Set the state record in the long jump this spring at the 1A state championship. He will be a factor at wide receiver and I am sure they will find other ways to get the ball in his hands as well. True playmaker
