about coach34 saying "98%" sure about Wilson staying... please note that post was on December 2nd. At that time, there was no plan for Wilson to leave.

Stuff happens... but coaching is a fluid environment and **** changes on a weekly basis. Coach34 deserves criticism for a lot of things... but this isn't one of them.

And it's also great to hear that Jones wasn't that attached to him, as previously stated by several other posters.

Thank God you're here to defend him. I wasn't sure he would be able to overcome our taunts.

34 constantly gets **** wrong and refuses to admit it. If he would just come out and say sometimes "Sorry, guys. Called that one wrong." I don't think people would be so hard on him if he did that. But the problem is 34's entire life is tied into his online persona. He would rather "dot some eyes" than admit he was wrong.

Also, if he would say, "Hearing that Wilson will be back next year" instead of "You 17'ers talking like Wilson might be removed as DC can give it up", that might help. Instead, when he acts like he is the all knowing Coach34 and is inevitably wrong, you get these reactions.

Very well said. Loves to remind everybody when he happens to get something right too. Thankfully, that's never very often.

I know we are not supposed to disagree with you General, but C34 is never wrong. Just ask him.

I'm just amazed anyone believed the party line that our team was holding anything back offensively or defensively during the season pre-Bama. Sure wish we had unleashed something of value though. I really wanted it to be right.

Coach34 has created his own "internet hero" persona, complete with disciples. All the **** he gets is well deserved and he brings it all on himself.

Didn't he also say that if Wilson left, we could kiss Jones goodbye too? That doesn't sound so correct now either.

My whole thing on the post that he made... was that he made it using information he had at the time. That information, obviously changed throughout December and into early January.

I'm a little perplexed at the whole Hevesy recruiting Jones thing too... I wonder if the Wilson leaving stuff has been in the works for a while and we strategically put Hevesy on him lately.

Absolutely. If he wants the accolades, then he has to take the criticism.

To quote C34 from the Tyler Russell's mom's genes thread below:

"Got to take the bad with the good. . . . Sometimes things just may not go his way and he gets some criticism."

Then again, state it like that. Not the way he did.

According to what I have read this morning Hevesy is who discovered Jones and has been with him all along.

I doubt anything happened between Dec. 2 and the bowl game to cause Mullen to change his mind from keeping Wilson at DC to giving Collins a 1-game audition for the job. Maybe something did change, but Mullen had all the information he was going to get to make that decision on Dec. 2.

I missed this whole thing...

...but I saw the bumped up thread (which is now locked) &, as usual, coach34 was defending a very ****** coach by using statistics. Wilson was a very ****** coach & for him to be leaving MSU is a big, big plus. Now let me go find the statistic that proves asbestos makes an excellent pillow lining.

Either that, or the information simply was not correct in the first place. The more you are wrong because your information "changes", the more it looks like your information is simply incorrect to begin with.

Let me also say I have no problem with C34, and I am sure that he has good sources. But if you are in the business of getting inside information, you have to know you will be burned sometimes with incorrect info. It's GOING to happen. Just because you have a good source doesn't mean you are NEVER wrong.

First of all, thanks Missouri.
Secondly, it's always great for HD6 to come around**

And thirdly, obviously what I was told was either wrong on Wilson, or things changed. I dont know which right now.

They were correct on Melvin- So 1 out of 2 so far. Also said Koenning was likely gone- plus one more staff member change could take place. We'll see what happens from here.

Nope- never did...just the opposite actually

Where did you say the opposite before yesterday? Coachdaddy was more emphatic (which is what I remembered- not you), but you did say, after Jones was offered by Saban, that "all you Wilson haters better be supportive now". Sounds the same to me.

What our coaches did from a scheme standpoint didn't make any sense, and Coach was attempting to make sense of it. How else do you explain something that doesn't make any sense to start with?

That was not to mean that Wilson was the ONLY thing keeping Jones committed- and I have never said that he was. Whether on here or on TD, I've always been emphatic that Jones will be a Dawg

Fair enough.

What I was remembering was what coach daddy said, not you. I appreciate your "info", but I also am realistic enough to know that it may not always be gospel. I just thought it odd that missouridawg seemingly couldn't fathom that your info may have been wrong. And I certainly understand that the situation COULD have changed.

Yeah, Coachdaddy has a pretty good handle on the going's on in Houston. He got caught 17'ing a sheep on the Square

Some stuff pans out- some doesnt. And I actually dont mind State people giving me **** when it doesnt. I just find it funny how quick all The Ole Miss Rebels are around here these days for something negative
