For those of you who watched the Peach/Chicken Bowl...

I watched a very young but very talented Auburn team blowout a pretty solid Virginia. This is why I refuse to claim that we will be 7-0 when we meet Bama next year. Can we beat them if we get a few breaks? Certainly, but to claim we're going to beat them just because we are playing them at home is wishful thinking.</p>

We'll see how good AU is with a new OC? We won't be taking them lightly. I like our chances, not saying it's a for sure win, because we have to produce a solid OL first.

They scored with 3 minutes to play and won by 6. The scoring drive included a 3rd and 23 conversion.

A full spring and summer for excitement to build. A few posters needing medication preaching we'll win the National Title. All the subscription sites talking up all of our program along with the university trying to build excitement going into the season. Wool will be in full bloom by the Auburn game, and if they come in to Starkville and win....the chaosof12/21/12 eve will have nothing compared to the State message boards. I just hope our fans go into that game with realistic expectations. If the majority thinks it will be a cake walk like they thought the last Auburn game would be then the boards will be unbearable if we lose.

Oh, wait, they beat Florida State? So did that Wake Forest team that we beat even after 4 unanswered turnovers. Georgia Tech? They didn't seem too hot either after it's all said and done. Not really a big surprise that Auburn beat them...and remember, Malzahn was on their sidelines.<div>
</div><div>Yeah, all Auburn's freshmen will be sophomores. But our guys will be a year older too. In Starkville, Malzahn will not be there. We actually have a playmaker at QB now and not an anti-clutch half tailback half tight end who makes bad decisions but still beats Ole Miss. We almost beat them in Starkville in 2010 even with Cam Newton. Their 2012 team won't have near that type of firepower. Is Michael Dyer even coming back?</div><div>
</div><div>Will it be easy? Of course not. I really wish Emory Blake and Onterrio McCalebb would leave. Not really worried about the rest of their guys though.</div>

...Auburn will be (as usual) more talented than us.

I suppose many here think Mullen will coach the best game of his MSU tenure & beat a more talented Auburn team next year.

I don't see it happening, but I will definitely be rooting for it to happen.

and anyone with a brain (who's watched the two teams) knows that we have a leg up on Auburn in Starkville next year.
