Sound Football team East has..hurts to have so many playing both ways late in close games
I know nothing about Forest Hills. I do know East Gaston is a tough bunch with a good team. I'll take the Warriors at home in a close one!
From the sounds of it, it seems like both teams are evenly matched. Can’t wait to be there!
I'd like to see eg win this one. Coach Postell has really turned that program around and the community is really excited about it!
Even when EG had down years the crowd was always in it and extremely supportive. Can you imagine how that stadium will be in a home playoff game in Round 2. Pulling for EG to get the W.
From the what I’ve read and learned about Forest Hills, I think EGs running attack and speed will be too much for them. EG wins by 2 scores
I watched some video of Forest Hills. They look to be fairly big and athletic. We'll have our hands full.
What EG had done this year is great !! I remember about 4 years ago when running chains I was really impressed with how the kids for EG acted during the game .... RS was beating the wheels off them and the EG kids played their hearts out and were super positive. I actually can’t even articulate how impressed I was with that team of men. I know those kids are gone now but they earned my respect forever !!!

#25 Forest Hills (7-4 (2-2)) has outscored opponents 25-18 and finished 3rd in their conference. Had a dominant first half at Providence Grove and they survived a second half comeback 27-26. This is the type of victory to put some lead in your pencil.
#24 East Gaston (7-4 (4-2)) has outscored opponents 39-29 and finished 3rd in their conference as well. They had an overall impressive performance versus CS of Davidson and won 57-39.
I believe this game is truly a toss up - I think Forest Hills may have some second half adjustment problems and with East Gaston playing at home I have to give the nod to them. At halftime I see the score being Forest Hills 21 - East Gaston 14 - and by the time the game clock hits all zeros, East Gaston 31 - Forest Hills 28.

Different QB. Offense is more explosive and OL is blocking way better.
I think you nailed it. EG will pull it out in the end imo behind a big home crowd and the big RB. Should be a fantastic game
Stewart Cramer may be the best thing to happen for East Gaston in a long time. Now Mt. Holly and Stanley won’t have to fight and struggle with each other any more. It just took EG a few years to get it going.

If we didn’t fumble 2x and our back up QB who had to go in for one play and threw a pick, we were scoring at will. We stopped them 1 drive. We stopped ourselves 3 drives. Haha - that was the difference. Hill is a great kid, runs hard and is a great talent. Pulling for you guys!

It happens,don’t mean they didn’t make adjustments,and if it’s not broke then don’t fix it,make those adjustments in game on the fly,unless making adjustments has been an issue all year I can understand where your coming from then

I just said that they "may" have some issues adjusting. Were a few box scores from earlier in the year that alluded to it along with this game. I never said they didn't adjust, it just may be that they were out-adjusted by the other coaching staff. It's a tricky thing to do and only a few coaching staffs ever get it right all the time.
Just saying from what I can see they adjust well 50/50. I think they played well enough that they didn't adjust for the second half and it caught up to them. Plus, from what I'm seeing that kid from PG came out the second half and just turned it on. Sometimes you play a kid and he's on and there is nothing you can do to turn him off.
Thanks. Our defense has been our weakness all year. Last week, we couldn't get off the field in the 2nd half. If you watched the PGrove game you could easily see it. Honesty they are just so vanilla offensively which was surprising. Maybe youth limits what they can do, I don’t know. But PGrove coaches easily made the better adjustments at the half before whatever the mind numbing decision to scramble the kicker for a two point conversion in OT.
East Gaston fans, where is Justin Hill going to play at collegiately. And will it be RB or LB? Kid is a great player.
I haven't heard where he is going. I think he will end up on defense at LB or even defensive end. You don't really get an appreciation of how strong and fast he is until you see him play in person.
Not sure where, but the rb coach from Shelby is working on getting him recruited more. Somebody will land a workhorse for sure!

#5 and #1 (but especially #5) ran roughshod over Forest Hills all night. Whichever team won this game likely would have experienced their last win of the season heading into Shelby next week, but congrats to the Warriors. A good game atmosphere there, and the announcer was great, too. Looking at EG’s roster, they lose a lot of their offensive production and FH is still very young and will return a good number of their players, and, some you didn’t see, from injury. Playmakers tonight, Ross Smith (#6) and Caiden Smith (#21) are only sophomores and Jerel Bolder (#4) is a freshman, to name a few.
I would say the biggest difference has been our offensive line and our attitude.
