Forget about the game, what's the bowl picture like?

With South Carolina beating Clemson as needed, what happens now that we lost? Will the Chick fil A go ahead and pick the rematch of tonight? Or will SC get taken in a higher bowl dropping another SEC team into the Chick fil A? Or will we still get to go if Clemson is their ACC pick? Or will they be forced to pick a different ACC team and take South Carolina? Or wost case scenario, would they take Ole Miss to play Clemson which would drop us to Music City again?

I have no idea, but after tonight with the Chick fil A in attendance I would think they would take Ole Miss over us even though we are 2 games up on them.

No way we go higher than gator. Chick fil a has to pick South Carolina if they are still available because they have two more wins. If they go to Outback, then LSU will go there since the cotton will pick aTm.

Now if Gator gets froggy and picks Vandy (shouldn't happen) then hello Nashville.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if we end up in MCB. Probably all we deserve.

I think SC moves up, and either LSU, Georgia, or Texas A&M goes to Chick Fil A.

I still think we get Gator, since I doubt they choose Vandy over us.

With how we've traveled to the GB, plus playing the the MCB last year, I don't think they'll pick Vandy over us. I've seen wackier things happen, but I don't think we'll be bumped to the MCB.

We have 8 wins and UM has 6. They will not go to a better bowl.

I think they may...because it looks like our disappointing blow out losses have curbed our fans enthusiasm while their fans are so excited about going bowling, they will sell more tickets.

They cannot go higher than us by rule. Bowls may only pick teams within 1 game of us in the victory column. The worse bowl we can go to is MCB. I don't think even back room deals aka liberty and MCB agreeing to switch picks can supersede this rule.

Personally, I'd just as soon go to Liberty. I have trouble seeing how it matters. We have had some great individual performances this season from Bumphis, Russell, Lawerence, and some others, but overall it's a mediocre season, and it's time to move on to next season.

You strive to go to a bowl with the biggest payout. Preferably a New Year's day bowl, because it gives your younger players longer to practice and get better. I can understand why our people don't know this, there are not many bowls in our history

Looks like Northwestern is headed to Outback and we will play...

either Michigan State or Wisconsin in the Gator....I would rather play an established program to give us the opportunity to gain momentum heading into next season.

I stand by my statement. It doesn't make a damn. If I thought the impressiveness of my organ made my argument stronger, I might try to work it in somehow. But that doesn't matter, either.

Our best bet, would be to get a Gator Bowl bid and get to play a big name school

either Michigan State or Wisconsin in the Gator....I would rather play an established program to give us the opportunity to gain momentum heading into next season.

Like Wisconsin or Mich State. I think we need that as a fan base and it could only help re-energize our players attitudes.

Talked with a player and it's looking like the Gator bowl against Wisconsin.

Music City and Liberty are equal in the current SEC bowl structure. The 2 bowls work with the SEC office to select the 7th and 8th bowl berths. Neither bowl picks ahead of the other and neither has final say in which team goes to their bowl. If the Gator takes Vandy, which I think is unlikely, I could easily see the SEC sending us to Memphis since we went to Nashville last year.

BTW, I know the SEC did put in a rule that a team can't be picked ahead of a team that has 2 more wins after 1999, but I think that now only applies to the Capitol One Bowl and only applies to that one in the case of the loser of the SEC title game.

Said player was one of many offensive ghosts and never saw the field.
Said Mullen "seemed like he didn't care too much"

And the obvious"ole miss was moving the ball on us at will all game"

I'm just ready to find out for sure where and who we're playing and look forward to that and not back on last night's **** show.

Like i said, it's not a rule. So all that matters is the check. Gator/MCB will tell the SEC that they will pick who they want, or the SEC can return the $. And we know which side of MSU or $ the SEC will side with.
