<span style="font-style: italic;">In less than three years, ending last month, the 38-year-old accountant
billed New Orleans Traffic Court nearly $1.3 million, according to
records of invoices and checks. Much of it was for taking receipts from
walk-up, Internet and telephone payments, typing them into an accounting
program and making sure they matched the court's bank statements.

Man that wild. I went to high school with Vandale and Eric. That ones one hell of a bball team. LCHS won state like three times and then the played Murrah at Jackson State. 4A Champs aginst the 5A Champs and LCHS beat that Murrah team. Both teams had some grate players. O. Harrington, J.Pate, R.Henderson, E. Dampier, V. Thomas and Dampiers brother V. Morris. One of the best sporting events I've ever seen in person.

The Murrah vs. LCHS game was amazing. I will never forget the dunk V. Thomas had over O. Harrington at the start of the game. I still have the program that I had signed by Harrington and Dampier that night. I spoke with Dampier at the basketball game in Jackson and told him I was a friend of the late Brinson Foster, a great Bulldog. He lit up when I told him that. Some of you from the Lawrence County area remember Brinson, I am sure.

Had he been caught with crack or stolen property, we'd be trashing his ***...but let him participate in something that is destroying this country from the local to the federal level, and we thank him and give him a pass.....

Man, I'm not defending the guy. I really couldn't care less. Just heard the name of I guy I haven't thought about since he left State and made me think of the Murrah/LCHS game. Come to think of it, I think it you could get it pay per view. Anyway lets get back to driving directions to Nashville for the third time, and where to eat when we get there.

I was pretty good friends with Vandale until probably 3-4 years ago. Met him when he came back to State between Euroleagues to finish his Accy masters degree. He was a pretty smart guy. He had good recruiting stories that I wouldnt repeat until Stans is long gone. he also blamed his career path, or lack of, on agents. It's a long story but he told me some stories that pretty much convinced me about how nasty, crooked, evil sports agents are to kids before they become a known asset.

From what I know of him, I would be surprised if he did something with intent to fraud. But money is a crazy thing.

I agree. I was at State when he came back to Starkville to finish school. He was always in the COBI computer lab. I'm amazed people are ready to turn on him due to one newspaper article. I would be shocked if he did anything anyone if his position in the city of New Orleans didn't do for decades before him. All I saw in that article was that he was billing the city for work performed. I didn't see anything to indicate that the work wasn't performed.<div>
